urnme23
[spoiler=Introduction]I started a post on this a while ago ( https://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/375847-the-scp-foundation/?do=findComment&comment=7124634 ), then stopped coming here because real life was getting kinda busy. But now things are calming down again so I feel foolish enough to drop my guard and add this to my plate again. So, as with the post this is continuing off of, these are basically just cards based off of SCPs from the SCP Foundation site ( http://www.scp-wiki.net/ ). I will try to make them as "balanced" as possible, but I am more interested in staying true to the SCPs, and as was seen in the previous post, that kinda sent balance out the window for things like "The Town That Got Fudged By Bears". So feel free to suggest any ideas you have to balance the cards, but just keep in mind that I'm trying to stay true to the SCPs. All that being said, enjoy. [spoiler=Cards in Previous Post]The following are the SCPs I've already covered, and that thus will not be appearing in this post: SCP 001 - A Sheaf of Papers (Note: There are many versions of SCP 001, so I will still put them in here if I get the chance, but A Sheaf Of Papers has already been done). SCP 002 - SCP 070 SCP 523 SCP 682 SCP 1440 SCP 1937 SCP 2875 SCP ____-J - Procrastinati If you would like to see any of these, please see my first SCP Foundation Post. The link is in the "Introduction". [spoiler=Experimental Mechanic Rules]This is a list of experimental mechanics that I make up for the sake of some of these cards. These experimental mechanics are mainly intended to help the effects of the cards match more closely to the SCPs they're based on. [spoiler=Rules about Secondary Fields] Some of these cards use the concept of a "Secondary Field". I've explored this on other cards in this set in the past, but here are the basic rules of the "Secondary Field":- As the name implies, a "Secondary Field" is simply another field, with all the same zones as a normal field, with the exception of the banished zone, deck zone, and extra deck zone. The main field is referred to as the "Primary Field".- Cards banished on the "Secondary Field" are sent to the Primary Field's banished zone.- If a Secondary Field is destroyed, all cards in all of its zones are sent to the Primary Field's banished zone.- Monsters on the Primary Field cannot attack monsters on the Secondary Field, and vice versa.- Card effects activated on the Primary Field, unless otherwise stated by a card effect, cannot affect cards on the Secondary Field, and Vice Versa.- Unless otherwise stated by a card effect, monsters cannot be summoned on the Secondary Field (even if the card effect is on the Secondary Field); if a card with a summoning effect activates this effect while it is on the Secondary Field, if the effect does not explicitly state that it works on the Secondary Field, the effect will "activate" and "resolve", but nothing will be summoned.- Unless otherwise stated by a card effect, spells/traps cannot be activated/set on the Secondary Field.- Unless otherwise stated by a card effect, cards from one field cannot move to another field.- Players' turns on the Secondary Field happen at the same time as their turns on the Primary Field.- Neither player takes damage from battles that take place on the Secondary Field.- More than one "Secondary Field" may exist; players can create as many as card effects will allow. [spoiler=Cards] [spoiler=Main Series] [spoiler=SCP 001 - SCP 1000] [spoiler=SCP 001 - SCP 100] [spoiler=SCP 071 - SCP 080] [spoiler=SCP 071 - Degenerative Metamorphic Entity]SCP 071 - Degenerative Metamorphic EntityAttribute: DarkLevel: 1Type: Fiend/Effect Effect:While this monster is face-up on the field, if a card(s) on the field specifies a card type, card name, attribute, level, monster type, ATK, DEF, location of the card (in the deck, in a player's hand, on the field, in the graveyard, or banished, face-up, face-down), or an action performed upon the card (destroyed by battle, destroyed by a card effect, banished, sent to or returned to a location) as a condition for any of its effects, this card may be treated as fulfilling those conditions. If a card effect is activated that used this card to fulfill one or more of its activation conditions, if that card was a spell or trap, that card is destroyed after 7 turns; if that card is a monster, it loses 500 ATK and DEF and 1 level (if applicable) every turn for 7 turns, and if its ATK or DEF are reduced to 0, it is sent to the graveyard. ATK: 0DEF: 0 [spoiler=SCP 072 - The Foot of the Bed] [spoiler=SCP 072 - The Foot of the Bed]SCP 072 - The Foot of the BedContinuous Spell Effect:Once per turn, during either player's turn, if no monster is overlaid on top of this card, the turn player may overlay a monster they control on top of this card. Monsters have their effects negated while overlaid on top of this card. During the turn after a monster was overlaid on top of this card by this card's effect, if one or more of that card's effects could be activated if they were not negated by this card's effect, that monster loses 500 ATK and DEF while it remains on the field. During the second turn after a monster is overlaid on top of this card by this card's effect, it is returned to its owner's side of the field. If no appropriate Monster Zone is available, the monster is returned to the owner's deck. [spoiler=A Normal Bed]A Normal BedContinuous Spell Effect:Once per turn, during either player's turn, if no monster cards are overlaid on top of this card, the turn player may overlay a monster they control on top of this card. During the turn after a monster is overlaid on top of this card by this card's effects, the overlaid card recovers up to 100 ATK and/or DEF that it has lost due to card effects. During the monster's owner's next turn, the overlaid monster is returned to its owner's side of the field. If no appropriate monster zones are available, the monster is returned to its owner's deck. If this face-up card and a face-up "SCP 072 - The Foot of the Bed" are in adjacent Spell/Trap zones, this card's name and effects become those of that card for as long as this card remains face-up on the field. This persists after the adjacent "SCP 072 - The Foot of the Bed" is removed from the field. Plant-type monsters cannot be summoned onto monster zones that this monster has occupied. This effect persists after this card has been removed from the field, and remains in effect for all affected monster zones for the rest of the duel. Plant-type monsters that battle this monster are sent to the graveyard without applying damage calculation. Any battle damage that would result from a battle between this monster and an attacking monster will be inflicted upon the controler of the attacking monster. This monster cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effect. Once per turn, this monster can move to an adjacent monster zone, or to a monster zone on your opponent's side of the field. If, at any time during the duel, either player asks if this face-up monster has a specific name, attribute, level, type, ATK, DEF, or effect, this card gains that name, attribute, level, type, ATK, DEF, or effect. When this card is unequipped from a monster, if you control a "Blue Mirror", "Green Mirror", "Violet Mirror", "Yellow Mirror", or "Red Mirror", shuffle that card into your deck and return one "Oversized Mirror" from your graveyard to your side of the field. If this card is on the field and is not equipped to a monster:- If there is one or more "Oversized Mirror(s)" on the field, overlay this card on top of the closest "Oversized Mirror" to this card (cards you control are considered "closer" than cards your opponent controls). ATK: 6000DEF: 6000 [spoiler=Rules about Secondary Fields] These cards use the concept of a "Secondary Field". [spoiler=SCP 094 - Miniature Event Horizon]SCP 094 - Miniature Event HorizonContinuous Spell Effect:Every 31 phases after this card's activation, in every zone in front of, behind, and/or next to this card (including non-Spell/Trap zones) that is not occupied by an "SCP 093 - Miniature Event Horizon", place one "SCP 094 - Miniature Event Horizon Token" (Continuous Spell) with the same effect as this card, and the additional effect that their names are treated as "SCP 093 - Miniature Event Horizon". If an applicable zone is occupied by a card other than "SCP 093 - Miniature Event Horizon", that card is banished face-down and the zone is occupied by an "SCP 093 - Miniature Event Horizon Token". Monster zones on opposite sides of the field that are in the same column as each other are considered directly in front of one another for the sake of this card's effects. This monster's attacks cannot be negated. This monster cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects and cannot be sent to the graveyard. Further study with long-exposure photography and light amplification revealed that the lights are actually stars and galaxies, visible as though SCP-134's eye sockets are somehow looking out into deep space. Her childhood development specialist has suggested that proper childhood development requires a personal name, and has nicknamed SCP-134 "Stella". If this monster is in face-up attack position, switch it to defense position. This monster's position cannot be changed by card effects. During each player's Standby Phase: place one Cancer Counter on all face-up monsters except Rock-, Machine-, and Cyberse-type monsters (monsters on the field lose 100 ATK and DEF for each Cancer Counter on them; monsters with 5 Cancer Counters on them, or that have their ATK or DEF reduced to 0 as a result of this effect, are sent to the graveyard). While this card is equipped to a Fusion monster, when the equipped monster is destroyed or otherwise sent to the graveyard, you may special summon the monster(s) that were used as fusion materials for its fusion summon. [spoiler=SCP 140 - An Incomplete Chronicle]SCP 140 - An Incomplete ChronicleContinuous Spell Effect:Once per turn: you may pay 500 Life Points, discard 1 card, or tribute 1 monster you control; add 1 "Daevite" card from your deck or graveyard to your hand. Note: This card will require the creation of a "Daevite" archetype. I am not good at creating archetypes and have not yet learned everything that I need to know about the fictional Daevite society in the SCP universe. On a later date I may come back to this and create a "Daevite" archetype after I know enough to build something around them. Based on what this SCP's article says, I'm thinking it will be mostly Warrior- and Spellcaster-type monsters with powerful effects that require monsters you control to be tributed or cards to be discarded from the owner's hand as the cost. But at the moment I don't have any real ideas for it, so I'll have to do some more reading on the Daevite lore before I get back to this. Si electi modus est per proelium, tracto duo target monstra, ut si ipsi pugnaverunt, sed non dicimus damnum calculus. Note: This is not perfect, it's what an online translator gave me when I put in the English version. But I felt it was appropriate to make it in Latin. [spoiler=SCP 141 - Codex Damnatio (English Translation)]SCP 141 - Codex DamnatioContinuous Spell Effect:This card cannot be written in other languages. Once per turn: target two monsters on the field, and choose whether to destroy one of them by card effect or by battle; destroy one of the target cards, treating it as having been destroyed by the other target card in the chosen method. If the chosen method is by battle, treat the two target monsters as though they have battled, but do not apply damage calculation. Note: For the sake of that first line, this card is meant to be written in Latin, hence the Latin version. [spoiler=SCP 142 - One-Armed Bandit]SCP 142 - One-Armed BanditContinuous Spell Effect:Once per turn, during either player's turn: the turn player may target one card in their hand and roll 3 dice; if the dice all land on the same number, the turn player may add as many cards with the same name as the target card from their deck to their hand, otherwise the turn player must discard the target card. If a player activates this effect two of their turns in a row, in subsequent turns they may activate this effect twice in a row and must activate this effect if they are able. If a player uses this card's effects twice in a row and discards the last card in their hand as a result, that player may no longer activate this card's effects or card effects that require them to discard a card as a cost, also after 3 of their turns their Life Points will be reduced to 0. [spoiler=SCP 145 - Man-Absorbing Phone]SCP 145 - Man-Absorbing PhoneNormal Spell Effect:Activate only when you control only one face-up monster and your opponent controls no face-up monsters. If that monster is returned to the field from the banished zone, decrease its ATK and DEF by 500 times the number of your turns that have gone by since it was banished in this way, and if any equip spells were banished with that monster, for each equip spell banished in this way, decrease its ATK and DEF by another 500 times the number of your turns that have gone by since it was banished. You may only control one "SCP 2171 - Autumn Shepherd" per "Leaf Windrow" you control.
