20TH-JPC14 方界降世 Houkai Kouse (Cubic Ascension)

Normal Trap Card

You can only use the 2nd effect of this card’s name once per turn.

(1) Activae when your oppponent’s monster declares an attack: Special Summon 1 “Vijam the Cubic Seed” from your Deck, then change the target of that attack to that monster and proceed to damage calculation.

(2) If your opponent’s LP is at least 2000 higher than yours: You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 “Vijam the Cubic Seed” from your hand, Deck or GY. If only your opponent controlled monsters when this effect was activated, you can also Special Summon up to 2 more “Vijam the Cubic Seed”.

You can easily set it up in the grave, and  being a trap they can't call it by the grave.

The end result is battle immunity which will likely buy you a turn with 1-3 bodies that can be linked off or used as needed. The biggest issue imo, is getting your OP to have more LP than you given that's not how cubics work

Soul Charge and the Solemn Traps say that's how Cubic might work if they get lucky.

But yes, you're right; small, but solid 1-of to beat back a direct attack board for one turn. I dare say it'll be as useful for Cubics defensively as Unification of the Cubic Lords is offensive for them.

Also, man, not since U.A. Penalty Box and UNAANOA (for Noble Knights) has an Archetype so blatantly profited from Traps that never hit the field. 8.6/10 from me, though it'll be a 1-of.
