Phantom Roxas
It's good. The GOP gets a lot of money from the NRA, and it's why the GOP are such utter cowards when it comes to gun control. It's not exactly as simple as "The NRA pays the GOP to oppose gun control", but it does seem to be a recurring pattern. At the very least, the NRA losing revenue means that the GOP will see a significant decline in the donations they receive.

vla1ne
So long as it doesn't damage 2A, it's cool.
Phantom Roxas
So long as it doesn't damage 2A, it's cool. Which it won't. An organization losing revenue has absolutely no bearing on an Amendment. People clutching their pearls as if this somehow will affect your right to bear arms are being utterly paranoid. EDIT: I realize this post seemed far too hostile. My apologies if this seemed like I was picking on you, vla1ne. I meant to speak more generally, so I hope this won't cause anything that would be harmful to this thread.
Ryusei the Morning Star
Didn't a Rep from CA post an op ed about mandatory gun confiscation and threaten to nuke people if they fought back? Seems like a lot more than 2A is on the like if the liberal fascists are allowed to anything

That said, there is a state, can't remember which one, where they actually are attempting to confiscate peoples guns, and a man has already died as a result. NRA is having a field day over there i believe, and if anything their membership there is likely higher than ever.

Phantom Roxas
Is there any major faction in favor of trump that the media hasn't tried to tie into russia? Except this isn't "the media" creating these ties. These are reports on investigations that deal with Trump's connections with Russia. It's not the media's fault if these connections do exist. vla1ne
so what i'm hearing is, that the NRA, trumps campaign, and russia all conspired secretly to steal the election? is that correct? that's cool, it'll likely amount to nothing either way, but the hype is real i suppose. Senile enough to mock, but not senile enough to collude with foreign power and steal an election (by posting half ass memes that costed a total of $4700) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq7RL-P7-QY It's honestly amazingThe Man really is Hitler, a Clown, and Aizen all at the same time
vla1ne
He even got the NRA that's currently pissed at him for discussing bump stock restrictions to get him into office, you'd think they'd just blow the case wide open just to protect their investments. We're off track, though, this is about the NRA losing money, if trump and russia have anything to do with that, then there's nothing they can't do. at this point, the NRA is just not as big as they once were. the ideals remain strong, but the foundation has been throwing too much weight around, while not actively promoting their base, and it's finally come back to bite them. nothing more nothing less. if they learn better money management, they'll bounce back most likely, if not, they'll follow the old model out the door.
