The Highlander
Well, I was wondering when someone would make a topic on this.It is an easily summonable Link material (face it, with the other new support the summon requirements basicly fullfill themselves), which is a prime positive Heatlio target to change the ATK stat of own monsters, recycles Links (even the "1-card" combo with Gazelle adds 2 Links to use for this) and has a non-targeting mass non-destruction answer to protective fields. And it is a solid Salamangreat Will target. And Salamangreat Cycle can search this. This definitely sounds solid and useful. If it's in your hand when you start, it can serve as excellent discard fodder for some of the smaller Salamangreat effects, and can be easily recurred by the playstyle of its own archetype if needed. It can be used on face-up cards, so if your opponent has, say, pesky backrow, you can remove the potential threat for a turn, or otherwise bait something out. And it extends out the lifespan of the deck by ensuring your Links, which are crucial due to the whole Reincarnation strategy, can be put back in the Deck for more mileage.Definitely a 1-of, if not run at 2. It blows the only other LV5+ Salamangreat, Parro, out of the water in terms of its usefulness.
goodfusion
Obligatory "this has Monarch stats!" post. Although you probably shouldn't use it in Monarchs (or play Monarchs in Salamangreats). Also, this is the second Cyberse-Type fiery bovine. Chemicritter Oxy Ox also has flaming horns, which makes me wonder if it's a total coincidence or because they're based on some mythological creature.
