Atypical-Abbie
Suppose that's pretty decent for a LINK-2 for Harpies, the protection directly plays into their self destruction of Spells/Traps playstyle, along with the hand return for a tiny bit Mist Valley shenanigans, should that be your kind of thing. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Is this how all those people disappointed by the smash direct feel?
Darj
What's so bad about it? it may not be broken nor too powercreepy but AFAIK it's great. A bit tough to kill by redirecting the destruction, can trigger floaty Spell/Traps, and if you tech bouncing tools for your Harpies it can act as a Quick Effect non-destructive remover. I would mention Compulsory Evacuation Device but I don't think it's good enough vs. nowadays metas.
Black D'Sceptyr
Definitely okay-gives incentive for Harpie Dancer and Harpist to actually do something on the field, counts as a Harpie itself so Elegant Egotist is live, and between this and the brutal Rank 4 pool Harpies have access to (e.g. Lightning Chidori and Ice Beast Extra-Link-Breaker Zerofyne) I do think that protection will come in handy, since a lot of stuff still does rely on destruction if your opponent's already gone first. But Archetype Links need to self-replace their cost or suck, apparently, so ignore all the stuff this card offers its parent Archetype then, not like even friggin Sistart got good when Puddingsis allowed Madolches to hit it and the Queen in one turn man, Isolde just spoiled Links for us, didn't they? Anyhow, should be a 7.9/10.
Azuriena
I'm not disappointed I'm expecting the Train one to be good tho
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Not that this card is really bad in any way, since it's basically better greatfly, but the issue is that it doesn't actually help to advance plays. Yes, it gives removal, and some protection, but neither of those are what is preventing harpies from being a particularly good deck. Call me spoiled, but honestly I'm going to be disappointed in just about every link monster that doesn't advance plays, or at the very least serve as a powerful boss like Borreload. And this doesn't just apply to this card. Aside from Gilgamesh (and I guess Romulus, but he's really pushing it) none of the LVP2 reveals so far appeal to me. They feel on-theme, sure, but they don't really solve the problems their decks presented.
The Highlander
Another Hysteric Party target, if it would be treated as Harpy Lady Sisters it might actually be able to focus other cards (given their recent support) ... well they already have Link 2 access and all this does is allow you to trigger Hysteric Sign, though there is a reason people use the Field Spell (Harpie's Hunting Ground, if I remember correctly), sure this allows to do that during an opponent's turn. The issue that this does nothing, it does not protect anything you want to protect, does not focus plays to extend, nor generates advantage, it just sits on the field and hopes the opponent does something ...Way to make a Link 2 mediocre after that great D/D/D Abyss King Gilgamesh, which allowed its archtype relative easy access to plays and resources that were previously too excessive ... I guess there have to be fillers.Hopefully that does not apply to the Railway Link (2?).
Darj
Now if Harpies were to get a searchable, floaty Cont. Trap that OPT can return a WIND or Harpie monster you control to the hand xD
Azuriena
Hopefully all the good ones are the Arc-V ones And Train
