Hello, and welcome to the FTK-G.

 

Once upon a time ago there existed a Club called the Fake Type Knights.

They advocated for the allowed use of Fake Types on Custom Card threads and contests.

 

Time and time again they rose and fell, by their own hand and others.

 

And so begins the cycle anew, 10 years later.

Hello again.  Former FTK and FTA Warden Kailyn Kyosuke here.  I am here to start up a new club for Card Creation with Fake Types.  Now...I have been informed that it's much more lax than it used to be, so while I'd like that to be the focus, I recognize it just isn't necessary.  That said, what this group does exist for is to be a discussion for Custom Cards, with real and fake types alike.  I'd like it if the objective were lax enough to be productive by the C&O standards, but not so strict that discussion can ONLY be about those cards.  Archetypes, deck concepts, type concepts, the actual card game in TCG and OCG, as well as any content created, be it a youtube series, discussion and review, new cards, as well as the grand old "what if" cards.  Hoping to engage in and do Card Contests once again, that whole deal.  

 

Rules.

We don't like em, we don't want em, but we need em.  

 

Rule 1.  Don't talk about Fight Club Stick to the Objective topic.  Loose as I've made it, if we don't the club gets shut down.  I'd prefer to not take the same exact route that our old leader and members did, at least, not the route that cost us our original thread.

 

Rule 2.   Do NOT talk about Fight Club. Do not be an asshat.  In short, if you have nothing nice to say go take it to PM's or try re-wording your thoughts in a more patient and understanding way.  This means that I won't tolerate discrimination for any reason and putting down other creations.  Be civil, and we'll do just fine.  Also be aware that while it is fun to be social, we will not have internet social drama, as that is the killer of C&O's.  If it must be resolved, it must be resolved elsewhere.  

 

Rule 3.  Do NOT bash on other people's art, but DO provide constructive praise and criticism.  We get better by getting feedback from our peers.  Simple "looks good" or "card is terrible" is not constructive in the slightest.  Please do not be the kind of person who comes in bashing everything as bad because "x or y meta card is more relevant".  Of course it is.  These are fake cards.  And each artist has their own vision.

It is perfectly acceptable to post criticism for things like improper OCG (or grammar), poor card art resolution / resizing / interactions with other cards, etc. 

 

Basically same rules as in the Card Creation threads.

 

Rule 4.  Don't post anything that'd get us locked.  Basically a reminder of Rule 1 but in short, don't break the C&O rules.

So you want to join the Guild?  Great!  There's really only 1 requirement.

 

Make a custom card with your username as the card name, with the Archetype "FTK Phantom" preceeding.  If you can, give it a Fake-Type.  That said Real Types are acceptable as well, but Fake Types are encouraged.  For example, my card name is FTK Phantom - Kailyn Kyosuke.
