Danger! Thunderbird!
Level 8 DARK Winged Beast Effect Monster
You can reveal this card in your hand; your opponent randomly chooses 1 card from your entire hand, then you discard the chosen card. Then, if the discarded card was not “Danger! Thunderbird!”, Special Summon 1 “Danger! Thunderbird!” from your hand, and if you do, draw 1 card. If this card is discarded: you can target one set card your opponent controls; destroy it. You can only use this effect of “Danger! Thunderbird!” once per turn.

ATK 2800   /    DEF 2400

Note: The text on Ygorganization includes a typo that includes Bigfoot instead of Thunderbird.

I am surprised noone made a topic on this yet.

Edit: The archtype now has 2 Level 8 monsters and obvious Trade-In synergy, with Grapha in Danger/Darkworld one has 3 noteworthy targets.

Is there a ton to discuss on this? The biggest thing about it is that it is another name. That itself makes it worth using in decks that use Dangers. The discard effect could end up being nice sometimes, but it isn't nearly as useful as the others'.

Trade-in potential... yeaaah you're right, but, again, the discard effect really doesn't make it worth discarding most times. It's likely to +0 with no further benefit more often than anything. I.e. it makes Trade-in more consistent, but not much better, if that makes sense.

Really surprised they made it Winged Beast instead of Thunder type. It could have tied into Thunder Dragons really well since it can effect that activates in the hand.

Oh well, I'm not complaining. Winged Beast is a cool Type, although I think it should have been Level 7 instead of 8 so you can use Swallow's Nest on it to summon the Simorghs or Mist Valley Apex Avian, as well as going for Rank 7 plays with them. Being a DARK is cool though for Dark Simorgh.

But that's just me wanting to use them as generic monsters instead of a full archetype.

They are an archtype, while not solely intended like devirituals they are still designed to support graveyard/discard synergy (mainly Dark World, Phantom Knights, Burning Abyss, Fabled etc.).

I am not sure if the thunder type would not break this card, remember it is generic and an additional, really cheap summon.
