Can't add images to forum topics?

I'm trying to start a thread in the advanced card maker forum with a new card set I'm working on but no matter what image uploading site I use, or the tags I wrap the URL in <img>, I keep getting a forum message that's telling me I'm "not allowed to use that image extension on this community."

 

What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: LOL. I also just tried to add a custom image for my avatar. The site lets me upload the image but doesn't seem to have any button to apply it.

When you post images, they must end in an appropriate file extension for images, such as .jpg / .png / .gif. After uploading it to Imgur or wherever, right-click and select "get image location". That should get you a URL that ends with a valid extension and can be posted.

Link ends with one of the valid extensions, so it may be used. Add the code and you have...

Same thing applies if you try to get images from Wikia/Fandom; remove anything past the filename extension. Pic may shrink somewhat, but thatʻs Wikiaʻs problem.
