Draconus297
Five-Headed Dragon [TCG/OCG]DARK - Level 12 - Dragon/Fusion/Effect - 5000/50005 Dragon-Type monsters Cannot be Special Summoned, except by Fusion Summon. Cannot be destroyed by battle with a DARK, EARTH, WIND, FIRE, or WATER monster. Five-Headed Dragon [ANIME]DARK - Level 12 - Dragon/Ritual/Effect - 5000/5000This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Dragon Revival Ritual". When this card is Ritual Summoned, destroy all cards your opponent controls. This card cannot attack the turn it is Ritual Summoned. This card cannot be destroyed by battle with a DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE, or WIND monster. [spoiler= Dragon Revival Ritual]Dragon Revival RitualRitual Spell This card is used to Ritual Summon "Five-Headed Dragon". Within 5 turns of this card's activation, including your opponent's turns, you must Tribute 1 each of a FIRE, WATER, DARK, EARTH, and WIND monster from your hand or field ("Five-Headed Dragon" is Ritual Summoned when all appropriate monsters have been Tributed). Well, where to start with this one? Many people would believe that, due to being a Fusion, the IRL release is better, and I'm inclined to agree. However, the full field nuke is incredibly tempting, and if I'm reading the Ritual Spell properly it can finish on your opponent's turn, giving you the most absolutely insane disruption effect ever. Not only that, 1 each of every Attribute except LIGHT and DIVINE is really interesting, and that method of Ritual Summon (where you can Tribute whenever you want after activation to bring out the boss at any moment) has never been used in any archetype in the game to my knowledge. It's basically a meme/hype card anyway at this point, so making it even more hype shouldn't ruffle anyone's feathers. What's the damage, in YCM's opinion? The Highlander
If you want a nuke on a huge fusion body that badly use ZARC instead, it even requires less materials and the Ritual Spell at hand is pathetic, FHD serving as a grand Future Fusion target is actually whatmade it good, Future Fusion may now be slow, though it can still be fun at times, while the Ritual does nothing meaningful, apart from consuming all your resources and dying to the slightest bit of removal or negation. If you want disruption with the wipe you can summon ZARC with the new miracle fusion trap (forgot its name). It's basically a meme/hype card anyway at this point, so making it even more hype shouldn't ruffle anyone's feathers. What's the damage, in YCM's opinion?when discussing the viability of this card, you have to factor in how quickly and effectively your deck can assemble the pieces, and considering most elements are not too well represented in ritual based decks, this card, even in a dedicated deck, has an insanely high chance at fizzling. but looking past that, to actually being able to summon this card, there's a few questions that must first be posed in order to answer the question of how easy it would be to summon this card: the largest question that is posed by this card, is whether elemental mistress doriado can be used to fulfill 4 of the 5 conditions, if it can, then this card becomes one of the most busted rituals in the game, needing only one of the two preparation cards to be live by turn 2 at the latest. (if i'm reading correctly, you don't actually need to tribute one per turn, you just have to tribute at least one per turn, until you fulfill the 5 elements needed) if it cannot, then the card remains insanely weak in the current format. if elemental burst is the basis that we go by, it cannot be done that way, which makes this card a terrible option in all but the most dedicated decks. the second question is whether the pendulum doriado, in combination with magical fitting room, would be a reasonable setup of this card. I believe it would allow the deck to be playable in most aspects, but still suffer greatly in the consistency aspect, as the name of the game would be "5-head or bust" the third largest question, is what the ritual monster would have done in the dragon ruler format, or in any format pre-master rule 4 really. looking at it along the same timeline as 5 headed dragons release, it would have seen an insane buff in the form of pendulums and dragon rulers. under master rule 4, the game cannot actually support that method of play, but before that, pendulum summoning, along with things like shaddolls, would have made summoning this thing impressively consistent. all in all though, the fusion version is better. it has a far more lenient summoning condition, and can be fulfilled out of nowhere far more consistently, leading to more versatility overall. in addition, master rule 4 ends the argument immediately.
