really cool piece, like I said, makes nice use of the c4ds. Just needs some cleaning up, especially the brighter spots away from the focal.I think some  gray/unsaturated  gmaps could  help a little with blending, but  I could be  totally  wrong

I completely agree about the gmaps with catman. Also, depending on my device, the statue of liberty looks very lq. Overall, you have a lot of cool things going on here, but it leaves a little to be desired with the execution.

yeah, not sure what happened with that glow on the torch, but I didn't wanna mess with it too much lest I just screw it up more

 

I dig the idea that the tone could be more distopian to push the irony of the theme even more, but eh. I had the image in my head: maybe give it a grime-green sepia overlay with some worn-out tears blowing off her clothes, maybe perhaps some cracks or signs of framework in her face exposed with hints of rust and replace the c4d with dust clouds and fire and extra spokes of orange lighting

 

I dunno, thoughts are often misconveyed when I try to project them, just like my GIMP workstation makes my pieces look slightly different than they do when I post them, so whatevs

the statue was pretty lq, I basically just googled "freedom png" and it came up, and Tormey was poking me like "hey thar, hey, hey thar, where's your entry" and I'm just like "welp, I'll take what I can get"

 

As for the g-maps, I wanna see if I can follow Madsen's advice and avoid using those until I get a better grasp on color balance. you know, make my sheet pop without making it too high contrast while not washing it off too much.
