Thar
idk why but your colors have been washed out for like 6 years consistently is there a way to avoid that when reducing the contrast? I used a blue and gold g-map and used a color blend with 40% opacity
Madsen
Here's a challenge for you - completely throw out Gmaps for your next 10 tags. Explore other ways to play with color. It's very easy to become overreliant on them and I can tell you because I definitely was. Play with different ways to get your hues to be interesting, play with lighting and whatnot. They often flatten things you're working on and while they do have their use it's really easy to grow dependent on them and overuse them.

I'm not sure what you use, so I'm not at liberty to ask, but experimentation only goes so well. Also, with color aside, is there anything else about this piece that needs work? Twenty-five Zero Oh-oh
Try using color balance and selective color for finishing touches on colors. Gmap is still useful for blending and setting atmosphere Imo. You can sometimes achieve similar effects with soft light overlayed textures as well. For some reason, I can't edit so excuse the double post but for reducing contrast, you can play with gamma on exposure tool or use a solid color fill layer set on lighten. Thar
Here's the version without the g-map
Twenty-five Zero Oh-oh
Looks better. The colors look more natural. For me personally, it feels like there's too much green in highlights and not enough vibrance for the range of hues you have.

Hmm, okay. I tried reducing the green levels a bit and blended in some blue and orange brushes. I also erased some of the blue c4d blocking his arm. This was the result:

Twenty-five Zero Oh-oh
I personally actually prefer the previous version haha. I think you might have gone too far and this ended up overcontrasted. However, keep playing with colors to get a feel for manipulating them. Something that helped me get a better feel for colors/light was actually photo-editing and painting (digital). Both require you to develop an understanding of values and how we perceive light. Even if it's just looking into a video tutorial, IMO it's something that can be quite helpful.

Well shoot, lol, guess I'll wait until SOTW ends to try again. Thank you guys for the feedback!
