(1) If this card is sent to the GY as a Material for a “Planckster” Fusion or Link Monster: You can banish 1 card from your hand, and if you do, draw 1 card, then you can Special Summon 1 “Planckster” monster from your hand or Deck in Defense Position, except “Planckster Rock”.

 

I was expecting them making a Prankid that Special Summons from the Deck, BUT I didn't expect it to be an actual prankid card, I was more or less presuming the butler appearing in their artworks to have that role since having a 4th Prankid would break their lore (Previous 3 Main Deck Prankid monsters are named after Max Planck's research into wavelengths).

This conflicts with their theme in many ways: it doesn't even have a total of 2000 stats when adding ATK+DEF. I guess we can either expect an EARTH Link & Fusion Prankid, or perhaps another set of 3 Prankids, with EARTH, LIGHT & DARK and their respectivye Fusions & Links; I lean towards the latter solely because this breaks the 2000-total stat trait. The DARK & LIGHT could easily be Level 5 and 6, 1 with 2000 ATK, the other 2000 DEF, and come with consistency or hand-fixing effects like this one does.

Yeah, I wouldn't hold your breath for much more support than this, especially when the other deck builder themes have only gotten about two cards post-set each so far.

 

That said, hey neat a Prankid that makes the Thunder Dragons in your hand not dead at all and just only further cements that synergy, who woulda thunk? That's actually really good for what they want to do.
