Pink Sparkle
My first archetype so I'm posting in casual even though I made these for advanced. Normella started as an Archetype focused on the most normal/generic effects activated by Normal Summoning. With the power being in their simplisity. But then it accidentally turned into a social commentary on small towns and their tendency to shun different people, oops. Normella OfficerEARTH/level 4/Warrior/Effect/1900ATK/100DEFIf this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 “Normella” monster from your deck to your hand. [spoiler=Explination] Don't have much to say on it. Allows plays. Normella DoctorEARTH/level 4/Warrior/Effect/1200ATK/1700DEFIf this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon “Normella” monster from your hand or GY [spoiler=Explination] Like I said. Generic effects on normal summon. Again, it allows plays. Normella TeacherEARTH/level 4/Warrior/Effect/1500ATK/1500DEFIf this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 “Normella” Spell/Trap card from your deck to your hand, you cannot activate cards with the same name as cards added to the hand by this effect this turn. [spoiler=Explination] This one basically pops and negates on summon because of the Spell/Traps. So it's disruption Normella MayorEARTH/level 6/Warrior/Effect/2400ATK/1600DEFIf this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 “Normella” monster from your deck. You can discard 1 card from your hand; destroy 1 card on the field. [spoiler=Explination] Most generic playmaker in the world with the most generic destruction effect. Pretty good to special summon too because it keeps its destruction. Also it makes a rank 6 on normal summon! Normella FirefighterEARTH/level 3/Warrior/Tuner/Effect/1000ATK/1000DEFYou can Special Summon this card, from your hand, by returning 1 “Normella” monster you control. If this card is Special Summoned this way: During your Main Phase this turn, you can Normal Summon 1 monster with a different name than the monster returned to the hand, in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn) [spoiler=Explination] Some combos with this card. You need 1 of the following cards in your hand firefighter, doctor or phone call and 1 of the following cards officer or phone call . You can then get a board of firefighter, doctor and officer. Which leads to plays 'n good stuff! Normella TownField SpellYou can Normal Summon 1 “Normella” monster, in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. You can banish 3 “Normella” cards from your GY; Draw 1 card. You can only activate each of the effects of “Normella Town” once per turn. [spoiler=Explination] The entire deck NEEDS normal summons. So 1 extra each turn is good. Also draws are nice. From here on out I'll stop with the explinations because I'm finna post this is casual anyway so who even cares? Normella Phone CallNormal SpellAdd 1 “Normella” monster from your deck to your hand. Normella GatheringNormal SpellShow 1 “Normella” monster from your hand; Add 1 “Normella” Spell Card from your deck to your hand. Normella BoycotQuick Play SpellYou can only activate this card while you control a “Normella” monster: Destroy 1 card. Normella Neighbourhood WatchCounter TrapIf a Spell/Trap card is activated or a monster would be Summoned, while you control a “Normella” monster: Negate the Summon or activation, and if you do, destroy that card. Darj
They look functional enough, but as you stated, they are simple to the point of feeling bland, which is not a bad thing, but flavor is always welcomed. I do spot some power cards there, like Mayor whose destruction effect lacks an "once per turn" clause so you could very well discard all cards in your hand to destroy multiple cards, and I dare say Sad Boy is their win condition due to its lock effect. If you get both Sad Boy and Lovers, you should be in a really good position. I find ironic that you use the "(Quick Effect)" clause on the Spell, when Spell/Traps don't have Quick Effects, only monsters do since it's a type of monster effect, and yet on monsters like Lovers you used the "during either player's turn". What I mean is that the clauses should be reversed: (Quick Effect) is for monsters, "during either player's turn" is for Spell/Traps.
