Mind Master

Since there were no new cards I thought I'd start a topic about an old one.

 

Current text:

You can pay 800 Life Points and Tribute 1 Psychic-Type monster, except "Mind Master", to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Psychic-Type monster from your Deck in face-up Attack Position.
 
Suggested errata:

 

Once per turn: You can pay 800 LP and Tribute 1 Psychic monster, except "Mind Master"; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Psychic monster from your Deck in Attack Position, except Mind Master.

 

I want this card back so much. With a once per turn, there would be some really awesome combos you could do, but it wouldn't be loopy.

 

For example, you could use it to make a more proactive Psy-Frame deck. Use it to summon a Psy-Framegear which allows you to special summon Multi-threader from your GY. Then you can Synchro Summon Quariongandrax, or go for Crystal Wing using Psy-Framelord Zeta!

It would also allow you to more easily tech specific Psychic monsters such as Psi-Blocker since you can easily summon them from the deck.

 

The "except Mind Master" part is there just to make it a bit safer at semi or unlimited, although I'm not sure if it would really matter.

 

Finally, as for "Why not make a new card instead of changing an old one?", Mind Master is the face of the old Psychic support. Actually playing it, instead of some different card, would be awesome.

Yeah, an OPT, not even a hard one, should be enough to get it out of the banlist while remaining effective. Although, I don't remember if I ever was, but I'm not a fan of erratas, since that strips the cards from their role in Traditional and unrestricted formats, as unpopular as they are. Then again, I guess for such formats it can be ruled that the errata'd cards will have their original traits instead.
