DARK/Warrior-Type Union Tuner Effect Monster/Level 2/800 ATK/2100 DEF

 

Lore: When this card is Summoned: You can banish 2 DARK monsters from your Deck whose total Levels equal 4, including exactly 1 Tuner; Special Summon 1 DARK/Level 4/Normal or Synchro Monster from your Deck or Extra Deck. Once per turn, you can (Quick Effect): Target 1 other DARK Warrior monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR; Unequip this card and Special Summon it. When Synchro Summoning a Synchro Monster, you can use this equipped card as Synchro Material. If a monster equipped with this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.

 

 

 

So, you know of the underwhelming Underworld Fighter Balmung, based off of the sword plunged into a tree by a disguised god that basically served the purpose of a Nordic version of the Caliburn? Well, this is based on the tree it was pulled from, (and only one letter removed from its original name, Barnstokkr) and in this case, it serves as the foundation (and funding) behind Balmung, as it can Summon him out, equip to him, and make it more likely for his destruction trigger to be hit-OR BETTER YET, FOR IT TO BE USED AS SYNCHRO LADDERING. 

 

Also, the Typing (Isolde, Reinforce Truth) and Attribute (Allure of Darkness) allow for some nasty synergy with Warrior builds-especially considering its Summon effect is NOT once per turn-don't worry, its going towards bringing out a meh card, what degenerate thing could possibly end up coming as a result of all that?

 

Did forget to mention-this is now the fourth DARK Union monster that Dark Blade works with-the others being PItch-Dark Dragon, Kiryu, and Leng Ling. Have fun with all that, this is all going to be building up to something big.
