Darj
Reptilianne ManasaDARK/Reptile/Link/Effect/Rating 2Link Markers: middle-right, bottom-centerATK: 16002 Reptile monsters, including at least 1 "Reptilianne" monsterIf this card is Link Summoned: The ATK of all other monsters on the field becomes 0. If the battle position of a monster on the field is changed (Quick Effect): You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 "Reptilianne" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.) You can only use each effect of "Reptilianne Manasa" once per turn. Made this almost on a whim really, but still intended to make an impact, or at least bump Reptiliannes up by a couple of tiers. IMO it should be clear what this wants to do: make the current board be affected by Hydra for a nuke + card draws. You will still need to trigger the pseudo-Synchro Summon of Hydra though, but that can be done easily with a manual position change, or assistance from effects, which a couple of Reptilianes already carry, or good old Enemy Controller. Also note that as a Link its position cannot be changed, so the Hydra play is not as straightforward to setup. Now, if only they had a searcher for Reptilianne Spell/Traps since they even have a "Photon Sanctuary" that banishes a Reptilianne from the GY as cost. Thoughts? Dova
First effect is simple, yet effective. Unfortunately, while I would prefer the card to be more generic, the ATK loss prevents it, as it is rather strong, and nerfing it in some other way wouldn't go well, methinks. I don't like the second effect though; kind of removing the main point of it being a Link, right? One might draw a parallel with Needlefiber, but the tagging in/out was already a theme within the archetype and you only used it the turn after, normally using Needlefiber's Link arrows or laddering it beforehand. I mean, it's not bad...I just wish it supported the archetype making the Synchros more, especially with that Token potential.
Darj
You got a point there. The second effect makes it look like it's a Link just for the novelty. I would say the advantage of being a Link is the more flexible materials, but that sounds like an excuse even to me.It would make more sense if it assisted you with Summoning Hydra, since she enables a MM Zone after all. Seems that a good option would be to Summon 1 or 2 Reptilianne monsters.
