For a Synchro Summon, you can substitute this card for any 1 "Nordic" Tuner monster. During your Main Phase: you can banish 1 Spell/Trap Card in your GY; Special Summon 1 "Nordic" Non-Tuner Monster from your deck to your side of the field. If this card is used as a Synchro Material to Synchro Summon a "Aesir" Synchro Monster to a Extra Monster Zone: you can banish this card from your GY; move the summoned Monster to another zone on your side of the field and if you do, the summoned Monster gains 500 ATK and DEF. You can only activate each effect of "Yggdrasil the Nordic Heart" once per turn.

So Yggdrasil the Tree in Norse Mythology is a Tuner Monster that can be used to summon any of the Aesir Synchro Monsters and can summon you another Non Tuner Nordic to the field. Finally as a means to help get all 3 "Aesir" Monsters on the field easily is when used as a Synchro Material it can banish itself to move the summoned Aesir Monster and grant it 500 ATK and DEF.
