CYHO-ENSP1
Contact Gate
Normal Spell Card
(1) Banish 2 “Neo-Spacian” monsters with different names from your GY; Special Summon 2 “Neo-Spacian” monsters with different names from your hand, Deck, and/or GY, also, for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters.

(2)If a face-up Fusion Monster that lists “Elemental HERO Neos” as material returns from your field to the Extra Deck: You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 of your banished “Neo-Spacian” monsters. You can only activate 1 “Contact Gate” per turn.

Neo-Spacian support is a thing!

Is this the Special Spell Card that was said to support the upcoming E-HERO Fusion?

So far it's eh... When I see the word "Gate" on a card, I usually think it'd be a Field Spell or even a Continuous Spell, but not a Normal one.

This was more so Neo-Spacian Support where at best this sets up Link 2 Monsters where if Neo-Spacians do get a Link 2 to work with this, this card might not be that bad. Besides this can be easily set up for with Convert Contact.

how do you summon a link 2 when you are only allowed to summon fusion monsters?

It seems like a generally inferior version of Miracle Contact, as it's more conditional and you still need to get out Neos if you want to Contact Fusion. However it could be pretty decent if they get more support. A searcher for "Contact" Spells and something to load up the Graveyard would be great.

Missed that part, still am wondering looking at this now, is meant for you to be able to tribute summon into Neos.

Play Convert Contact, send a Neo-Spacian from hand and deck to grave, play this by banishing the Neo-Spacians in grave, then, tribute summon a Neos from your hand, play a card like Monster Reborn or Soul Charge to get the Neo-Spacians that were tribute back to the field, then proceed to make a contact Fusion.

We already knew it would be.

and this is  so funking slow and still doesn’t do much of anything, Jesus Christ

The card is more about speeding things up. Neo-Spacians are pretty bad as an archetype, but you can still make the most of this card. The issue is more the cost, like why you would even want Neo-Spacians in your GY by the time you're using this. Considering how this is mostly designed to support Triple Contact Fusions, most of whom bounce your field (Assuming you don't get more than one Head with Chaos Neos), this helps so you're not completely defenseless during your opponent's turn, and have something to take a hit.

This doesn’t speed you up at all.

Inless you open Covert Contact + this, it’s slow, and even then you have to be able to field Neos, as well. This is a power card, not a speed card.

The easy assumption is that they want you to link summon first, but fielding spacians isn’t easy.

Again, that's more of a problem inherent to Neo-Spacians as a whole, not necessarily something that makes this card specifically slow. If they want you to Link Summon first, then this is keeping up momentum with that. Getting Neos out is a separate issue, but otherwise this is decent Fusion fodder. By itself it's not going to instantly get you Nebula Neos, but I don't see much harm in using this.

the harm in using this is that it itself is nothing great, and literally every other on-theme card is significantly worse.

No, you don't play neo spacians without this, but that doesn't mean this incentivises one to play them much at all.

it's the best support neo spacians have ever gotten, and in very many other decks, it would actually be busted. unfortunately, it's still neo spacian support, so it's not enough to get the deck off the ground.

that said, it's a good card. the archetype is simply too terrible for just one card to save it from table 501. give them two more cards on this level, including at least one that either drops HERO neos to the board, or allows neo spacians the ability to contact fuse from the hand, and the archetype might actually be able to beat larvae moth turbo.

Yeah, the problem is that this doesn’t give you a reason to play bad cards.

It isn’t that this card is bad, but t doesn’t give the deck anything more than a bit more potency.

You can rescue cat into two of panther, and make any random link 2 off that. Then use this to further capitalize on your advantage. It forces you into a weird link/fusion deck...but that's basically what heros are these days.

True, but you'd still need another Neo-Spacian in your grave since the cost requires they be 2 Neo-Spacians with different names; most likely to account for this exact scenario.

That's exactly it. The card itself is fine as it fits in with Neo-Spacians. It's just that Neo-Spacians are already pretty terrible that, for as much as this helps, you're still stuck playing a bad deck.

It's a good card for a bad deck.

This card is hot garbage. The idea is there, but the execution is so bad, it's comparable to Konami looking at the archetype and going "You know what? This archetype is ass, let's support it," and support it by shoving hot Rajang dick up Hummingbird's ass. It's so bad it got me to come out of the RP section's cave to comment.

First of, I need to have two Neo Spacians in the Graveyard?! How am I supposed to get them there? Are you unbanning Painful Choice? I ain't wasting a Foolish Burial on this.

And you what they messed up? This card doesn't summon the most vital piece of the puzzle. The vanilla level 7 beater that has very little ways of Special Summoning itself, Neos. You need him for this to work, why doesn't it summon him?!

That's it, I'm done, I'm scurrying back to my RP cave before I'm blinded by those with more game knowledge than me.

no, no, no, you are correct. the card (as neo spacian support) is complete trash. the card itself, is actually pretty good, but as most of us have said, the archetype it supports is so bad that the card would have to be a quickplay, cost free, no OPT, automatic neos summon, from any and everywhere, complete with contact fusion, and literal pot of greed to be halfway to remotely decent support. this is not that, so it's clearly not good enough.

Honestly, though, this wouldn't even be very good outside the archetype. The fusion only clause varies from awkward to debilitating, none of the monsters to summon are particularly useful, it doesn't help to field neos, it barely makes up for the massive drops in card advantage inherent to the archetype...

Honestly I think people just saw "summon 2 from deck" and forgot that the year is 2018 and that isn't even incredible, even when you aren't forced to run terrible cards.

what i mean is that if it were for just about any other fusion based archetype, it would be insanely good. but even outside of fusion, Quite a few lower tier decks can make that work well within the restrictions:

Metaphys could go nuts off of it for the banish clause alone.

Blue eyes would gladly take this over that terrible ass onslaught card

U.A. throw themselves in the grave pretty fast compared to Neo spacians, and get more mileage out of this than neo spacians ever could

Generic dragons would like it a lot.

gadgets could get mileage out of it

ancient gears might even be able to do things with it.

Give it the "void" name and infernoids would love it,

Ritual beasts could get mileage out of it.

GB's would wreck sheet with something like that,

Monarchs can actually use this to put tribute fodder on the board

batterymen would murder in seconds if this was their card (now that solar exists, and thunder dragon is giving them a new thing to play with)

actual HERO decks wouldn't give a damn about the restriction,

Cyber dragons would get some really good mileage out of it,

Buster blader can throw out a buster dragon with the greatest of ease, and wouldn't give a damn about the fusion restriction.

Roids can put their monsters in grave pretty easily,

Red eyes can go nuts with this

Skull servants can have a king and a skull servant dead in mere seconds, and use this to put princess/lady and a king on board, giving it 3k at minimum, and an additional 700 if you use the princess' drop effect.

Melodious could make it work well enough,

frightfur would possibly jump a tier with it,

cyberse are getting that new clock dragon, so this would definitely give cyberse (generic-ish) more power

The list goes on and on and on.The ONLY fusion based deck that can't use this decently is neo-spacians. even non-fusion decks can get mileage out of this. even Dark magician could use it pretty well, so long as the condition was 2 "Magician" monsters.
