Andre Miles
The Price of a SoulSpell | NoneYou can only activate this spell by Tributing any number of Monsters (excluding Xyz Monsters) in your side of the field and paying half of your LPs. Upon activation, place a Soul Token (Fairy/DARK/Level 8) on your side of the field (this is considered a Tribute-Summon and cannot be negated) and it gains ATK and DEF equal to the the number of LPs paid to activate this spell. When the Token is destroyed, you gain LPs equal to its current ATK. It's like placing your soul on the field. My dreams are strange.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Issues with this card are the following (and I apologize in advance if this does come off as more technical). 1. Reliant on you having enough LP to make said Token worthwhile. Granted, you can play this early game and all, but you'd rather keep your LP for paying costs and other stuff. Later on, you won't have enough. 2. Need to Tribute monsters too (uh, why are you excluding Xyz Monsters in the first place?), also coupled with this being a Tribute Summon, so...you can't NS again. You're Tributing monsters, but the Token only gets ATK and DEF equal to the LP you paid. Might as well make the monsters useful if you're going to Tribute them and gain their strength too (see Winged Dragon of Ra in the anime). [Also would make the LP boost better if said Token leaves the field instead of just breaking even with the stats you paid for it.] I mean, yeah, you can't get Strike'd as-is, though this could just be a Special Summon and you'd still have the luxury of another monster 3. You overextend in LP and Token doesn't get destroyed (i.e. gets Tributed for a Kaiju/Lava Golem/whatever, taken off the field by bouncing removal [which exists]), you DON'T get your LP back. Well, also if the opponent somehow drops said Token to 0 ATK, then you gain nothing [but you've probably lost by that point]. I would say that you could just change it to trigger whenever it leaves the field (not just by destruction), but that will likely come off as busted if you do incorporate the suggestion on absorbing the monster's ATK and DEF, and restore a lot more LP. However, given the risk you're taking to even play this in the first place without it being negated and what exists nowadays, you could probably have it trigger more. Idea is cute, but right now, it's really reliant on you having enough LP and making sure you can protect said Token from removal that isn't destruction-based (or losing stats).
