Toon Paradise

[Continuous Spell]

It is treated as "Toon World" while on the field. If a "Toon" Spell/Trap (except "Toon World") is activated: Immediately after it resolves, you can activate this card from your hand/GY, and if you do, you can Special Summon 1 Toon monster from your hand/GY to this column, ignoring the Summoning conditions. You can only activate "Toon Paradise" once per turn this way. If this card is destroyed, Toon monsters on the field are not destroyed. Toon monsters are unaffected by monster effects in the same column as them.

A little bit of column-based control for whatever that's worth, and it's an extra "Toon World" that prevents old Toons from self-destructing if it goes away. It also benefits from stuff like "Toon Mask" or "Toon Briefcase" but people would probably use it more with "Toon Table of Contents".

Sleepy, the major problem toons have is fielding a monster. Would you maybe consider a hard OPT, summon 1 toon monster from your hand, ignore summon conditions to the same column?

I worked something like that into the card now.

It Summons a Toon into its column when it activates by its own effect, ignoring conditions. It is not as constant as an OPT clause, but it can make it so it bypasses summon sickness from old Toon monsters.

Now I hope I didn't break it xD

I really like Winter's suggestion. That would help Toons a lot.

Anyway, not quite sure why this won't trigger from activation Toon Word, what's the problem with having some resundancy as back-up? :v

Besides, the almost-dead free +1 can be useful as fodder for other effects.

And now it either Summons a Toon from hand, or revives it, without even targeting. That's even better of course, but cannot but feel you are pushing it. I mean, now it's a free +1~2 instead of 1. I would be more comfortable if it was the other way around: Summon a Toon from the GY only when it's activated normally from the hand.

No you didn't, let's look at the card

You need to activate a toon card, have this in hand, and then have another toon in grave/hand. It rewards you, but it'll need some set up. Ravine plays with Red/Blue Eyes might work with the deck if it can make Ancient Fairy effectively

Can I ask why you excluded toon world from the activation option?

I really like it

That could also work as a give & take sort of deal, but if I do that, keep in mind this time it'd target because it's not doing the revive as an aftermath of a resolving effect.

Then again, I mean. It's toons we are talking about, is the +2 gonna be that much of a problem? xD

Well it does offer monster immunity to same-column plays.... hmmm.....

Personally I think it's alright as is but I see what you mean

It's a three card combo however. Grows stronger as the game progresses. I think that's healthy

Milling strategies can make it easier to set up. Your own idea with Ravine and Fairy Dragon is an example, adding Destrudo to the mix. Toon Table of Contents can help a bit, too.

Anyway, another thought I had, albeit less related to this card's initial intention, is to allow the player to Tribute Summon Toons by using Toon Spell/Traps instead. That way it makes it easier to field Toons, and can make use of otherwise dead-drawn copies of Toon Kingdom/World, or if you you activate this in reponse to Toon World. Heck you could even include Spell/Traps with "Toon" in their card text, too. Would be funny to Tribute a Comic Hand and give the monster back to the opponent, for whatever purpose xD
