Dreams do come true! I was so sad to not see these being released, but now they are, and they are pretty neat! I don't care as much for the other cards here, the Ritual Monster looks fun I suppose, guess it can work as a boss monster for Trap monster Decks, though they don't have Levels in the hand, so that can be annoying, but we have some good new Ritual support, so it's probably fine either way. The new Borrel Link looks good I suppose, generic as it is. Iron Draw, don't recall this card from anywhere, but on paper it looks good since it doesn't have a traditional Special Summon lockdown effect.

Well, Feast of the Wild LV5 just became incredible.
Also, Shura will be great as an anti-Link Fusion, since Fusions, like Xyzs, lack Levels, and is just really awesome at running over anything powerful.
I just hope we get more of these guys.

In the anime Shura's effect couldn't be used when it was attacked by DRXD, so we can assume the eff won't work on Links either.

Kaiki sounds like surprise Destiny HERO support. You can use Destiny HERO - Dangerous to discard it, which increases its ATK allowing you to Special Summon Kaiki and Fusion Summon DUSKTOPIA!

These guys are a start, though their deck will become much more functional if and when the other 6 Stars (Arashi, Tsumuji, Senko, Todoroki, Raijin, and Fujin) are released. Hopefully they'll be released in the next year's collector's pack, or sometime else this year. I say this because the ones we have now just aren't enough yet for a decent deck. Of course, the issue then is the fact that canonically Arashi and Senko are level 7 while Tsumuji and Todoroki are level 6, which complicates matters because if they rely on the 5s, it makes the deck worse because of how much more you have to rely on them. They also should have future-proofed Shura in regards to Raijin and Fujin as well, since they'll be along for the ride should the remaining Stars be made.

You're thinking of Idaten. Iggy used Shura to counter DRXD in the rematch.

The first 2 are awful.

Kaiki is quite good, though I cannot point at an ideal way to cycle it.

Idaten is quite good, considering Kaiki and the fact that it is basicly a (+1) on summon with high stats.

The level 12 seems like an overkill, though it is not as terrible as the first 2.

 

There has to be a good way to use Kaiki, considering it being able to revive itself means it can immediately afterwards fuse itself with said monster or another kaiki added with idaten.

Anyways, I really would have liked to get the armor monsters instead, instead we get an irrelevant anime archtype used by a filler character,

who does not matter in any way (though kaiki and idaten are solid).

 

Edit: Come to think of it Noble Knight, Elementsaber, Colossal Fighter and Amazoness can use this as an extender, though that alone would be quite disappointing.

We could still get the Armour cards as there is a sizable gap between Orgoth and Litmus.

The maindeck monsters are bad but the fusions are... surprisingly good, albeit without a proper home that will make good use of them. I'm sure someone will think of some spicy memes to use them in, if not then something down the road might smile upon their use.

idaten and shura do not care what their materials are (well, shura does, but since the one it cares about is idaten...) so running a few poly in the deck could actually work out well, as it grants you a free summon, and opens up either tenma plays, or wild level 5 plays. not bad at all.

 

also tenma can normal summon itself so long as your opponent has a monster(s) or you control an Earth monster, so it's arguably a marauding captain for 2 of the best monsters in the U.A deck (feast of the wild level 5 only makes this more consistent)

 

kaki could easily revive from GY with Stadium or jerseyon board. but that's something of a reach above 1, since it still has to hit grave first.

 

overall, there's some pretty good U.A. support among these guys, even if it wasn't intended to be.

Giltia the D. Knight seems like a good Instant Fusion option for these guys. It's a Level 5 LIGHT Warrior, which gives it a decent amount of support.

I dunno how much it matters, but Shura doesn't say it needs exact materials in his card text, so you could use a fusion substitute for him. That's... something I guess. At least it could legitimize the use of King of the Swamp in the deck.
