this is a pretty neat retrain. It allows you to summon metaphys monsters when your opponent attacks your monsters, it summons from hand or from banished, the scale effect banishes itself to bring itself to the field during the next standby phase, the deck has a lot of ways to get their metaphys banished for it's effect to be live, definitely an interesting card. Probably not staple for competitive builds, but you could have some fun with it

Huh, how odd, a Pendulum Monster. Well, if we see another one that is nice. Also, thank god for another lower Level monster. It is a bit lame that it's only on attack, but I guess it's not that bad, since it is able to continuous get itself back and doesn't do anything to the monster it Special Summons. Also, it's Level 2, so you can actually make their Synchro Monster, PLUS it gains the extra bonus from this being a Pendulum Monster, I guess that's why it's a Pendulum Monster, hmmm.

That's a beautiful transformation.

I don't think it's too good though, because of the setup needed and for depending on the opponent's attacks. The highlight is that last effect IMO, for the field presence and delayed plus if you banish it as a cost. But even then, as a Pendulum Monster it will go to the ED instead of GY, where it's more difficult to banish from.

If only it was a Tuner for Needlefiber fun :v

They already have a Tuner.

I know. Why can't they get more?

Apart from the one Synchro they have (and which this card allows them to summon (and even get the pendulum effect)) they have no reason to link a single Zone, given that their entire playstyle resolves around maindeck monsters.

Though I admit Needlefiber is strong, even without using any other link monsters.

I would even argue they have no real need to get out their Synchro member.

I'm thinking that this can actually work with the Darkwurm engine...BUT BY USING SUPREME GATE INFINITY.

HEAR ME OUT

Think of the advantages-this doesn't mean you have to knock out different engines-say, Invoked.

Then, your first turn play with this and, say, a Summoned Metaphys Ragnarok can score you a Needlefiber or Omega to snipe a card out the hand to empty the field again for Decoy and Infinity in the Scales to turn out your whole board-or to keep with this Deck's theme of banishment, an Angel of Zera, which you won't have to worry about Daedalus banishing from the field forever.

Since this Decoy Dragon has a Pendulum Scale of 1 and Infinity would have 13, all/most of the Metpahys are fair game to pump out from the hand before you start your other plays (coughAleistercough).

And it's not taking up the Normal Summon to do it-especially with the assistance of Dragon Shrine and/or Foolish Burial.

What say you all on this option?

If this gains utility simply as a scale, I wouldn't be surprised, but none of the words on this card make me want to use it.

(i) "(2) If this card is banished, during the Standby Phase of the next turn: You can Special Summon this banished card."

(ii) Your opponent cannot attack, unless he devotes resources into removing this

(iii) More targets to trigger with ragnarok, increasing its reliability
