Ryusei the Morning Star
' Gouki Shadow Ogre EARTH Warrior Link Effect Monster 1000 ATK / Link-2 (Top, Bottom) (1) Once per turn, when a monster that this card points to activates its effect (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster, then Special Summon 1 "Gouki" monster from your GY, except "Gouki Shadow Ogre". Super Chaos Sonic
Ehhhhhhhhh... I'm not so sure about Shadow Ogre. It's literally a Up/Down Link with 1000 attack. Plus, there isn't a 100% guarantee that a monster will be put where this Link's arrows are to which, it's effect is somewhat defeated. Though, if by some chance there is a possibility to get the effect off, it would help with more Gouki monsters swarming the field from the grave and the loss of a monster that the effect of Shadow Ogre dealt with. Honestly, dunno if I'd run this.
Tinkerer
Do any MD Goukis have effects that'd trigger this? This feels like it's meant to negate your own effect, destroy, then revive the Gouki you destroyed/another one so you get both the search and revive which would be pretty good. I assume recipe is 2 Goukis?

I assume recipe is 2 Goukis? If this is the case, then yeah, three different Gouki's (and the newer one) could trigger this:Suprex - Special Summon another Gouki from handHugbear - If SS, target an opponent's monster and halve the original attackTwistcobra - Tribute a Gouki, increase the attack of a Gouki by the tributed monster's attackMoonsault - Target a Gouki Link in the GY, return it to the ED and add a Gouki monster from GY to handI did keep in consideration the search would be a good thing, but at the same time, you'd get most of the searches just to get to Shadow Ogre. But then again, if this does allow you to do it to your own monsters, it would be a bit beneficial in that regards.
Atypical-Abbie
On one hand, it's situational, on the other, it's a way to easily get a search and gain back a Link Monster, without any other restrictions, no negation, ATK loss or Defense Position, so you're free to do whatever you want. This does only have 1000 ATK though, but it's LINK-2, so you're probably going to link up. If you can do exactly that, it's a nice one-off, and there may be situations where you can point to an opponent's monster and avoid annoying effects while you continue your plays. The Highlander
Another regeneration monster, the ideal play appears to be using this on a maindeck gouki summoned with either Gouki Re-Match or Moonsault with its own effect, to revive a boss monster summoned during a prior turn and then using this for a link 3 summon. Not incredibly amazing, however with link monsters in one's graveyard this card can transform self triggering gouki monsters into several link materials.Or, like in the anime, counter link monsters like the topologic series.
