Retrain a high level Normal Monster into a Main Deck Boss Monster.

Card A
Gigago Gigagaco
WATER/Level 8/Reptile/2950/2800
This card cannot be Normal Summoned. This card must be Special Summoned by tributing 2 WATER monsters, including at least 1 Reptile-type monster. You can shuffle 1 WATER monster from your GY into your deck (Quick Effect): Destroy 1 card on the field; then the opponent can Special Summon 1 monster from their GY, ignoring it's Summoning Conditions, but it has it's effects negated. If this card is removed from the field by battle or by a card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Level 7 or lower WATER monster from your GY, but that monster cannot attack this turn. If this card battles a non-WATER monster: You can banish 2 WATER monsters from your GY; Double this monster's ATK and DEF until the end of the Damage Step. You can only activate this effect of 'Gigago Gigagaco' once per duel.

Gagagigo the Corrupted

WATER/Level 8/Reptile/2950/2800

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by a card effect, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card is treated as a Normal Monster while in the GY. If you control no Effect Monsters (Quick Effect): You can discard 1 Normal Monster; Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, destroy 1 face-up card your opponent controls. Unaffected by cards or effects while you control a Normal Monster(s). Negate the effects of all other face-up cards you control. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can send 1 card you control to the GY, except a "Gigo" card; Special Summon 1 "Gigo" monster from your Deck, except "Gagagigo the Corrupted".

Card A

 

Where are you summoning this card from? It does not say, so I am going to assume it summons from the hand. Given its conditions, you're going to have a hard time figuring out a Deck that actually can summon this (looking at the WATER Reptiles outside of the Gagagigo storyline). Thematically, yeah, you COULD summon Jigabyte and Eria (or w/e) and then Tribute for this. 

 

The quick non-targeting removal is nice and helps with some recycling, but I'm not keen on it giving the opponent access to any monster they want without restriction (even with effect negation). Revival effect is okay. Last effect will generally work, but it just amounts to making him a 5900 beater when battling and that's it. With that being said, it already has 3 effects on it (two of them being good for the most part; other one is nice). 

 

Card B

 

So where does this fit into the lore? Alternate path after Gogiga Gagagigo and he literally remains corrupted, as opposed to redemption in The Risen.

 

But let's see; this is summonable via Swing of Memories and Birthright (if anyone uses that), so you do have the option of getting this out via those two options and not necessarily from your hand. Like card A, it does have non-targeting removal (albeit on-summoning only and doesn't give the opponent any revival options). The blanket immunity helps immensely, especially when this card can generally get a vanilla out anyway (probably one of the Gagagigo cards since they qualify as Vanillas and have no effects that this card will screw over). It does suck to negate everything else you have out, but iirc Vanilla decks don't really have too many cards that they'd keep up that apply effects otherwise, so... 

 

With the last effect, it's already restricted to the Gagagigo line (regular, Giga and Gogiga), but guess you could just get rid of dead Birthrights or something for it to clean up space. 

 

 

Voting card B here because it generally gives Vanillas another boss to work with (though this is more of a self-serving card lore-wise and all, since it builds off of Normals instead of really supporting them). Then again, it is more likely to see play otherwise. 

 

With A, without knowing WHERE it's being summoned from, it's hard to really judge it, plus the lack of WATER Reptiles that are worth using outside of Gagagigo's series/archetype in a dedicated WATER Deck. Removal and revival works, but I don't really like giving the opponent a free revival of a big boss monster (especially one that is Nomi). I know I said that some WATER decks might like it to regain search fodder, but then you do lose Salvage targets and whatnot (which I recall are some major things they need).
