Ultimagamer
this is a pretty powerful card released a long time back, and has banned for quite a long time too. Not too surprising given it's effect Harpie's Feather DusterSpell - Normal Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls It's a pretty powerful effect, given that it can hit all kinds of backrow, including pendulum scales and field spells. I've been wondering though, given that many people in the current format view raigeki as a side deck card rather than a main deck one, if this card went to 1 like it is in the ocg, would it have a main deck presence or a side deck presence in the meta ( presuming it still has meta prevalence, which is probably would to some degree )? Sleepy
In Raigeki's case, it helps with getting out of a pinch but 1 of cards that don't particularly further one's play directly create a bit of a dissonance with the rest of most of my decks in a way that would have been much more forgiving way back in the day. Plus, even if things don't always float upon destruction or get some sort of immunity, decks often replenish a little bit of advantage as they place pieces on the field so it won't necessarily push the opponent beyond recovering the board. That demands that you have a good enough setup for a push when you do use it, even if you don't always strike gold with what you nuke (and by this I mean a potentially game ending push). It is where it is due to the weird lack of reliability it holds despite its clear potential.Harpie's Feather Duster is the backrow version of Raigeki, and is more or less on the same boat. At least in the OCG, it's been legal for a while, and it even technically has a search/recover support card for it, but backrow is a little less of a constant than the monster lineup when weighting in the probabilities of what you might face against. Right now S/T are in the process of becoming cheaper in quantity as well, being often searchable by +1 effects, or floating in some way, or having a secondary GY banish effect, or receiving some sort of protection, or being able to negate your removal, or outright having the opponent finding ways to play around it.Not sure where it'd stand in TCG would it be limited as well, but I wouldn't be super shocked by it. Even Twin Twister is not something I've found myself using in all my decks, which is a more quick and flexible backrow removal effect with a decent enough range. Cosmic Cyclone has been my go-to removal, and I'd have to test anything else and weight in my space, personally.I wonder how the change of scenery has transformed the impact of this card's hypothetical presence vs Heavy Storm's..... It's been a while since that sort of debate has happened.
