VCR_CAT
18SP-JP101 デーモンの降臨 Daemon no Kourin / Advent Skull ArchfiendDark Fiend / Ritual / EffectLV6 2500/1200You can Ritual Summon this card with “Contract with the Abyss”.(1) This card’s name is treated as “Summoned Skull” while it is in the Monster Zone.(2) This card on the field cannot be destroyed by battle with non-Ritual Monsters, and cannot be destroyed by the monster effects of non-Ritual Monsters.(3) If this Ritual Summoned card in its owner’s possession is sent to the GY by an opponent’s card (by battle or card effect, or by being destroyed): You can Special Summon 1 “Summoned Skull” from your hand, Deck, or GY. Really, really bad card here. The effect is basically a bootleg First of the Dragons, it only floats into a vanilla, and it doesn't even have its name on a ritual spell. It's just... really not that good.
Ryusei the Morning Star
Not even good enough to be my coaster. Atleast you can use tokens to make First of the Dragon with ease. This is just awful. The ritual spell isn't hot sheet either.
Yui
I don't even post here but I just wanna say holy hell this thing sucks. Doesn't even have its own ritual spell, doesn't really do much besides sit there and then float into an even worse version of itself, just... wow. But hey, on the plus side, that art is funking great. So at least it looks cool.
Bringerofcake
This is a great meme tho. Sure it's not prepreppable, doesn't work in any deck that it looks like it can, and in general is a crap beater that doesn't float properly, but it's a great meme. Atypical-Abbie
I mean, it's not the best Ritual, but I am not sure I would call it awful. It's probably one of the better Ritual Weapon users, with its built in protection and decently high stats for a Level 6, Contract with the Abyss allows you to built a DARK Ritual Deck around it, and the new Deviritual can get it out easily. As it's still an Archfiend, there is plenty of support for it there through various ways, it's not a card that is going to break new grounds, but could be a fun casual card. goodfusion
It's an Archfiend Ritual Monster, which makes it awesome. I couldn't care less that it's so bland, it gives me something I've been wanting for quite a while. Plus with Archfiend Palabyrinth, it goes to a whopping 3000 ATK, enough to defeat Blue-Eyes White Dragon in battle and not feel a scratch (still dies to Chaos MAX smh)
Dragulas
This kind of "legacy" support feels like disrespect to the players, it does nothing on field and if it wasnt bad enough, depends on your opponent to summon SUMMONED SKULL!
~British Soul~
But hey, on the plus side, that art is funking great. So at least it looks cool.It is a shame that they used such great art on a card that legitimately sucks, and it's not the first time that's been the case either. I just wished the card would support (rather than just be supported by) Archfiends instead of just having the Archfiend name.

~British Soul~
This isn't the first time a Ritual monster requires a Ritual spell that is otherwise generic. (The first being Sauravis the Ancient and Ascended needing Sprite's Blessing who can bring out any Light Ritual)On another note, I read an article on the Org and there is more history to this than people realise. I'd defo recommend reading;https://ygorganization.com/the-apex-of-unset/
Just Crouton
should've had built-in opt makiu instead of summon summoned skull on destruction
Phantom Roxas
Not any of the other variants, like… I dunno, maybe Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning? I'm not even too picking, just asking for something more than just the most basic Summoned Skull. Contract with the Abyss is nice and all, but the point of that card is that it's a substitution. It's main purpose is to get a quick monster out that can't be destroyed by Ritual monsters… except it's not exactly hard to destroy it by other means. This is just a waste of space. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Why doesn't that float work when it is used as link material, though. That would have actually been neat. Also, just to clear this up, this will never be summoned with contract. The proper ritual spell for this POS is advanced ritual art.

(GigaDrillBreaker)
Why would you use it as material when it's a protective card?because it is awful at protecting itself. It can still be targeted, it can still be tributed, and it does absolutely nothing to hinder the opponent's plays. If it could float upon being used as link material, then at the very least one could take advantage of the fact that it can be summoned without taking up the NS to help provide fodder. Sunshine Jesse
It's a bit weird to see such a blatantly awful legacy card these days. Most of the other ones can look kinda good at first glance, but not this one.
