Premier Alexander Romanov
Ehh...it's better and it's worse than the anime version. On one hand, it doesn't just need Dragons, which was kind of stupid. On the other hand, it lacks any of the blanket destruction protection the latter provided if you went to the effort of Extra Linking it, and as it currently is, it just burns a lot.If you're Extra Linking, you're already winning at this point, so this isn't a lot of icing on that cake. Atypical-Abbie
I am always confused about this, by discarding any number of cards, could I not discard any? It's mandatory, so I don't know if you still need to. I would wager yes, which would be pretty annoying, but I guess that Topologic are designed to be anti-Link, which is strange, because this card is the first (I think) card to have an effect that works when you have an Extra Link, so that seems contradictory. I guess that's the point, spend a lot of resources to get your opponent's hand down and then do 3000 damage. Could be fun to build around, but as a normal card, I don't know how often I would pick this over the other Topologic monsters or Firewall Dragon. Expelsword
I was surprised to see YGOPro had this already.I should have suspected it wouldn't work properly (and it also says Min 1 as well). If you wanna make meme plays you can use Grinder Golem to get both Firewall and this card out, but it requires using Firewall's bounce, so it's not that great. It DOES have synergy with Firewall's second effect though, Perhaps there will be a Fusion between them?
Blake
Um... Doesn't this say Extra Linked, not Co-Linked? Which means this thing seems really overkill or really unfair, depending on the ease of which you make an Extra Link using it. Hooray all or nothing design. Dokutah
wait... so this card is the first card that specifically said Extra Link? or im missing one or two down the line again?
(GigaDrillBreaker)
If you're Extra Linking, you're already winning at this point, so this isn't a lot of icing on that cake.why do people still believe this? Extra link is in no way an auto-win. It is a weaker lock than djinn was, and games used to be lost because of people devoting to djinn when they shouldn't have. That said, if you extra link with this, you do win. That second effect is absolutely brutal, removing chance to break the board (keep in mind it will likely contain some combination of firewall and trigate, which add on more disruption) and tacking on a hefty amount of burn while it's at it. The first effect is also powerful, and allows you to make a turn 1 impact without going for the extra link. Although I honestly wouldn't know if we are there yet, there will undoubtedly be a point at which one or more decks can easily and consistently make a turn one board of this, as well as trisbaena pointing to their EMZ. Trisbaena already is annoying to get past, and doing so with two less cards is just salt in the wound. Random discard is not an effect that should be underrated. Although this has the hard opt that gishki, wind-up, and gottoms lack, it is still an extremely effective way to proactively hurt the opponent on turn 1. You should be able to attack for game with 5 monsters.

You should be able to attack for game with 5 monsters.if you are attacking for game, why do you care if the opponent can summon from ED? If what you are getting at is "if you extra link, and they don't get past it, you can win the next turn" this isn't a new thing. Nekroz could win turn 3 after a turn 1 djinn lock. Towers turbo was literally based on using a big monster that didn't even restrict plays to buy a turn before they OTK
Expelsword
It's a win because you have so many monsters.I actually agree with you that Extra Links have no practical value.
