Phantom Roxas
This is a bit of a more catch-all thread to discuss upcoming films related to the DCEU, such as this year's Aquaman, or the upcoming Flashpoint: Homecoming- er, The Flash movie. However, I also want to use this thread to go into more detail regarding something I've been talking about in my thread on media conglomerates and mergers. If you haven't heard yet, AT&T has been working to acquire Time Warner since October 2016. If this merger were to succeed, then AT&T would acquire DC Comics. A trial against the merger is set to begin on the 19th of this month, so we'll have to see how the goes. Recently, a few pieces of news have come up. There is supposedly really bad news about the DCEU coming up, though what that is remains to be seen. However, it seems that if the merger does fail, then Time Warner will break up, possibly even selling off Warner Bros., Turner Broadcasting, and HBO. I should note that Warner Bros. would most likely still own DC Entertainment, so Warner would still be able to produce DC films. That said, it sounds like Warner Bros. (And DC) could potentially be bought up by someone else. I don't mean to make this thread entirely about the merger, but I want to introduce it here to have a backdrop for this discussion. Feel free to also talk about any of the upcoming - or even current - DCEU films that interest you.
