vobo
i want to ask 1.if there effect says when monster effect is activated negate the effect is that mean negate 1 effect or all its effects? 2.if there monster effect says special summon 1 monster from your graveyard card or says gain 1000 life point and says immediately after this effect resolves draw 1 card and there effects says when monster effect is activated resolves negate that effect what i must do? 3.if there monster effect says once per turn you can pay 1000 point then target 1 monster on the field this card gains the effect of that monster is for the rest of the duel or until the card leaves the field? Azuriena
For future reference, this kind of question goes in this thread: https://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/352791-yu-gi-oh-rulings-questions. 1. It depends on what the card says. Provide a specific example of the card you're thinking of so that there's no miscommunication.2. Your question is unclear. Provide specific examples of the cards you're thinking of.3. A monster generally loses any gained effects it has once it stops being face-up in the Monster Zone. Azuriena
2.I mean what's the use of the effects that's says immediately after this effect resolves and here some examples https://www.db.yugioh-card.com/yugiohdb/card_search.action?ope=1&sess=1&rp=20&stype=2&keyword=immediately+after+this+effect+resolves&ctype= Normal, Synchro and Xyz Summons are ordinarily Summons that you conduct during your Main Phase while nothing else is going on. Some effects can cause you to conduct these Normal/Synchro/Xyz Summons even if it isn't your Main Phase, but when that happens, it's not the effect itself that Normal/Synchro/Xyz Summons the monster. Therefore, the monster isn't Normal/Synchro/Xyz Summoned when the effect resolves, but immediately after it resolves. This means that, for instance, if the effect was activated as Chain Link 1, cards like Horn of Heaven can be activated when the monster would be Normal/Synchro/Xyz Summoned. On the other hand, some other effects Special Summon a Synchro or Xyz Monster with their own effects and treat the Special Summon as a Synchro/Xyz Summon. Since these Special Summons are attempted when the effect resolves, not immediately after it resolves, cards like Horn of Heaven can't be activated when the monster would be Special Summoned. Examples: https://www.db.yugioh-card.com/yugiohdb/card_search.action?ope=1&sess=1&keyword=rank-up-magic&stype=1&ctype=2&starfr=&starto=&pscalefr=&pscaleto=&linkmarkerfr=&linkmarkerto=&atkfr=&atkto=&deffr=&defto=. There are no effects that say "immediately after this effect resolves, draw 1 card" as your original post suggests. This structure appears exclusively on effects that cause you to Normal Summon/Set, Synchro Summon, Xyz Summon, and in the near future, Link Summon.
