Trying to retrain Toons into something better (NeoToons) (INCOMPLETE)

I like the concept of Toons. They can attack directly if you control a certain card, which I thought was cool. It means doing big damage to your opponent without being stopped by their big wall. However, the archetype has always had problems, starting with the Semi-Nomi clause on some of the Toons and moving on to their self-destruction if Toon World gets blown up (which can be easily done in today's meta with basic S/T removal). So, I tried to upgrade the Toons, fixing their problems.

I kept their main effect (If you control "Toon World", this card can attack directly) the same, but I removed the no-attack on-summon, which was making the archetype... unplayably slow. Also, I am giving unique effects to the Toons like Summoned Skull and Ryu-Ran that don't have unique effects. I also replaced some of the effects of the Toons with effects that would work much better in the archetype. There is a mild theme of banish floating, but it's archetypal so no support for you banish cancer. The result is the NeoToons, basically the classic Toons with fixes.

Here they are:

[spoiler=Monsters]

NeoToon Dark Magician

Level 7

DARK

Spellcaster/Toon/Effect

If you control "Toon World", this card can attack directly. Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects:

• Discard 1 card; Special Summon 1 "Toon" monster from your Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions.
• Add 1 "Toon" card from your Deck to your hand.
When this card is banished by the effect of a "Toon" card: You can Special Summon 1 Toon monster from your hand.
2500/2100

Left his effect almost alone as he is actually good. Just made some basic changes.

Red-Eyes NeoToon Dragon
Level 7
DARK
Dragon/Toon/Effect
If you control "Toon World", this card can attack directly. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 Toon monster from your hand, ignoring its Summoning conditions. When this card is banished by the effect of a "Toon" card: You can add 1 "Toon" card from your Deck to your hand.
2400/2000

His effect is also good, so I left it alone.

NeoToon Gemini Elf
Level 4
EARTH
Spellcaster/Toon/Effect
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Toon" card from your Deck to your hand. If you control "Toon World", this card can attack directly. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand. When this card is banished by the effect of a "Toon" card: You can immediately Normal Summon 1 Toon monster from your hand in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.
1900/900

Did I mention that I made some of them search on-Summon to increase consistency?

NeoToon Mermaid
Level 4
WATER
Aqua/Toon/Effect
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Toon" card from your Deck to your hand. If you control "Toon World", this card can attack directly. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Destroy 1 Spell/Trap on the field. Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation. When this card is banished by the effect of a "Toon" card: You can target 1 Spell/Trap on the field; Destroy it.
1400/1500

S/T removal, take that paleo.

NeoToon Masked Sorcerer
Level 4
DARK
Spellcaster/Toon/Effect
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Toon" card from your Deck to your hand. If you control "Toon World", this card can attack directly. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Draw 1 card. When this card is banished by the effect of a "Toon" card: Add 1 "Toon" card from your Deck to your hand.
900/1400

That all-important search plus draw power. This guy is mostly the deck thinner.

NeoToon Barrel Dragon
Level 7
DARK
Machine/Toon/Effect
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Toon" card from your Deck to your hand. If you control "Toon World", this card can attack directly. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Toon monster you control battles an opponent's monster: Target that Toon monster you control; Toss a coin 3 times, and if you do, that target gains 300 ATK x the number of heads, until the End Phase. When this card is banished by the effect of a "Toon" card: Target 1 monster your opponent controls: Toss a coin 3 times, and if you do, that target loses 500 ATK/DEF x the number of heads.
2600/2200

It's still a coin toss, but not so uncertain anymore.

Blue-Eyes NeoToon Dragon
Level 8
LIGHT
Dragon/Toon/Effect
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Toon" card from your Deck to your hand. If you control "Toon World", this card can attack directly. Once per turn, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: Destroy it. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. When this card is banished by the effect of a "Toon" card: Target 1 monster your opponent controls: Destroy it.
3000/2500

He's the mon remover of the archetype, able to take stuff out like there is no tomorrow.

[spoiler=Spells and Traps]
Toon Universe
Field Spell
(This card's name is always treated as "Toon World".)
When this card is activated: Banish 3 cards from the top of your Deck. Your opponent cannot target Toon monsters you control with card effects. The activation of your Toon monster's effects cannot be negated. If a Toon monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish 1 card from the top of your Deck for each, instead.

NeoToon Briefcase
Counter-Trap
If your opponent Summons a monster while you control a Toon monster or "Toon World": Negate the Summon of that monster, and if you do, shuffle it into the Deck.

Toon Briefcase doesn't negate, so this does in its stead.

I'm not going to comment so much on the cards themselves, but more so on your concept of reimplementation. But, before we get into my major complaints, I will say that your buff on DM is a bit much. I mean, really, you chose to retrain the good ones first? Why not something like Masked Sorcerer, or even Barrel Dragon?

However, my main problem is the fact that I'm not really seeing what makes these cards Toons. The not-attacking on the same turn was one of the most consistent aspects of Toons, and you just removed it. Along with yet another Field Spell retrain, it just seems less of "making them good" and more of "these are toons now". But wait, they are NeoToons! They don't have to rely on the og cards, right? They can be their own thing, a new archetype based around Toon! Wrong. You're still following the originals, if badly. I know it sound weird, saying you're both being not original enough AND not sticking with theme enough, but...it doesn't seem like you can make up your mind. Do one or the other, not both.

I should've named the thread "Trying to fix the problems with Toons" instead of.. that. Can someone please fix this for me?

Also, I DID retrain Masked Sorcerer, but I didn't have time to post him.

I'm trying to make Toons a better archetype while still keeping what I see as the core the same: Attacking directly if I control Toon World.

Added some new cards, but time constraints strike again and I can't retrain other Toons today.
