ANIMATED BANNERS

I don't have much time, so I'll tell you a "quick" method. On whatever program you use to make your images, make one frame of the banner (and by that, I mean a single image of the animation) and save it as .gif. If you can't save as .gif, or it looks horrible, google and download IrfanView, open the image with that program, and save as .gif.

Repeat until you have all your images. Now, google and download unFREEz. Drag all your .gif images into it, play around with a few numbers, and save it. Voila.

Those are 2 easy programs to understand, and both are free.
