0PxPz0
Can I reserve the Temperant Tarot, as he rose to power in his homeland through brutality and self-discipline? [spoiler=The Northern King] Felgrand The Disgraced Warlord, Ulfr PendragonMale32 Years oldTarot Card: The Temperate Tarot[spoiler=Appearance] He resembles The Dragon Knight of Creation sans the sword. Beneath his helmet, he is clean shaven, has long brown hair and green eyes [spoiler=Backstory]Felgrand was born as Ulfr Pendragon, far to the north of the Kingdom of Zaddicus, to a tribe of duelists eking out a life of struggle and clan warfare. It didn’t take long for his skill at dueling to place him as the head of his tribe, but he wanted more. Conquering all of the northern tribes he now brands himself King, and sets his sights upon conquering the southern Empire. Woe betide he who stands in the way of the mighty conqueror of the North. It was not to be however: Ulfr was bested in combat by Zaddicus himself, to whom he relinquished his Kingdom in the hope that his people would prosper under his strength, and offered mercy and a place by the Emperor's side as his enforcer, complete with a mysterious Tarot card. He contemplated this turn of events, wondering why, if only the strong should survive, he had not been slain by a superior duelist. And so, the would-be conqueror pledged to atone for his actions by leading his new master's armies, sparing those he defeated, seeking to unite the world under a banner of forgiveness, mercy and peace. [spoiler=Personality] Once ruthless and cruel, his humbling loss taught Ulfr the meaning of mercy. Seeking forgiveness himself, the once-King is swift to offer mercy to the crushed, though he will not hesitate to destroy those who threaten the innocent as he once had. He is wholly convinced of the righteousness of his master's conquest, believing that a short war with minimal casualties would be a fair price to pay for the promise of a lasting peace. [spoiler=Deck] - He uses a fairly standard Deck focusing on Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand The Deck also includes Heavy Draw Power and “Amorphage Goliath” for anti-extra Deck strategiesCzar DragonLight Level 1Dragon/Tuner/Effect500/500This monster is Level 8 while in the Graveyard. )e//!s0P
[spoiler=The Tormented One]Name Jordan CarterGender FemaleAge 19Tarot Card Towering Tarot[spoiler=Appearance] A pale caucasian woman, 6-7, Orange Brown short Hair, a black dress modified for combat, with a short skirt equipped with a Longsword, custom crafted to look like long strands of shadows put together. She has this haunted look in her eyes, and is cold to the touch. She wears a mask, one that looks like El Shaddoll Construct’s face. [spoiler=Backstory] Jordan was once a happy girl. She lived on her farm with her Family, were she worked diligently. However, she wondered about the outside world. She wished she could see the world. But as they say, be careful what you wish for.One day, about s few days she woke up in a void of blackness. She saw her home, her family, her everything get tangled in threads of black shadows. Then, from the shadows a light appeared, and she saw a weird sphere like machination. A creature standing near this creation in a relaxed smooth voice began telling Jordan her story. Of her death during her rebellion, at the hands of the king himself. Then she snapped her fingers, and shadowy strands entangled Jordan. She turned, showing her true face. “I AM EL SHADDOLL CONSTRUCT! AND UNTIL YOU CAUSE HIS DEATH, YOUR HOME, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR VERY SOUL, IS MINE!” She handed Jordan her new deck, put a sword on her belt, and returned her to the real world. Now she begins her search for the tyrant, now with “The Towering Tarot”. [spoiler=Personality] Jordan is a quiet and kind individual, with only one negative emotion: Hatred for Zaddicus. She hopes to be free of El Shadoll Construct, and wishes she never was given her tarot. However, I said individual. Part of Jordan’s Soul is rapped in cords of shadow, giving El Shadoll Construct the ability to Possess Jordan, usually after a successful activation of “Sinister Shadow Games”. El Shaddoll Construct is hateful and cunning, only desiring to make Zaddicus Suffer. Deck - Jordan Runs 2 Decks, a “Yang Zing” deck, and also a “Shaddoll” Deck. 宇佐見 蓮子@C94
[spoiler=The Hierophant]"Do not be mistaken, I am but the King's underling. 'All is according to his will'."Name: Alfonso de Borgiani IVGender: MaleAge: Appears as a man in his late 20s/Early 30s, hints at possibly being much older. Tarot: V - The Hierophant[spoiler=Appearance]Alfonso imposes a towering silhouette upon those he graces with his presence, standing at a menacing 194 cms tall. However, due to his occupation as an occultist, his physical build is nothing to remark. He is always dressed from head to toe in black clothes, with a black occultist robe covering his formal wear underneath, while a monocle and cane completes his look. Sometimes he can also be seen with a magician's hat adorning his silver hair, further deepening his mysterious allure. [spoiler=Personality]A man of mystery, that's who Alfonso is. Not many people knows what goes through his head, and he prefers to keep it that way. He is a tricky person, speaking in riddles and prefers to avoid directly addressing those he speaks to. It is known that he is fiercely loyal to Emperor Zaddicus, executing all of his lord's plans as perfectly and brilliantly as possible, seemingly with little to no remorse for his actions. Alfonso's polite, soft-spoken and courteous public personality hides a self-centered, cold and aloof man. He sees the lives of others as nothing more than puppets for him to manipulate, pieces in a game of chess for ultimate domination. Despite appearing to be completely unfazed by most things around him, always maintaining a confident smirk or cold gaze, there are a few things that can rub him the wrong way. For one, disobedience and rebellion always gets a rise out of him, as well as things falling out of order in general. He despises strong-willed people and people who think they can best his intelligence, seeing them as hindrances to his machinations and schemes, and would often get sidetracked in order to remove such 'obstacles.' Alfonso is very much a self-centered person, interested only in furthering his own agendas while caring very little for the troubles of others. He seeks to gain absolute knowledge over everything in the world, before eventually ruling over it as its absolute omniscient king. [spoiler=Backstory]To most people, he is Alfonso Medici de Borgiani the Fourth, the fourth generation head of the Borgiani family of occultists and summoners, a family who's historically been involved in the royal court of Predraelia, earning them the title of "Aide of Kings". Due to the secretive nature of the family, not many of its members are known to the public, and as such, the true identity of its head is not known to anyone, not even the past kings and emperors of Predraelia.Alfonso Medici de Borgiani was also Aleister de Borgiani I, the first head of the family, as well as the second and third heads as well. Aleister who started out life as a simple summoner 4 generations ago in Predraelia, one notorious for an insatiable thirst for knowledge. After several goes at experimentation with spirits and alchemy, Aleister made a contract to gain the wisdom and soul of a dragon, granting long life and youth that would last a milennia, at the cost of robbing him of his ability to form attachments, be it material or emotional. Aleister, now with wisdom and intelligence that would normally take a lifetime of studying and research to accumulate, quickly rose through the ranks of the court, eventually becoming the king's right-hand man. Whenever an order is to be carried out that the citizens must not know of, Alfonso is tasked with completing that order. Not only that, he also enjoys a position high enough where his words are taken into great consideration by the kings. When a king dies or a succession happens, he would take a half decade away from public eye to change his appearance, before once again reappearing before the new king as the next generation's head. This continued through four kings, before Zaddicus suddenly usurped the throne and became king. Impressed by his strength, Aleister, or otherwise known as Alfonso, introduced himself to the new king as the previous king's closest aid. To him, Zaddicus's power could be used as a stepping stone towards expanding his scope of influence, towards further domination of the world. Now with the Tarot of the Hierophant, he awaits the development and discovery of the other Tarots, scheming in the background to eventually usurp the throne and dispose of Zaddicus while maintaining a persona of that of a loyal vassal. Deck: Drag-, an archetype of Pendulum Ritual monsters focused on searching each other out for consistency, as well as negating the other player's effects. Deck: Drag-, an archetype of Pendulum Ritual monsters focused on searching each other out for consistency, as well as negating the other player's effects. The Hierophant is about authority, it also tellss of a time to take council, your character's embodies that area as well as the reverse position (mistrust), I do have a few in-universe notes however. First the idea of making deals with powerful spirits is uncommon but not unusual (it's even rumored Zaddicus' has done this to obtain his current power), second, while we haven't been outside the capital to see it yet, there are near infinite religious groups that worship particularly powerful spirits similar to gods (Achen, Tinkerer's character grew up in such a church) so "occult" isn't really a term used in this world. Third Zaddicus would never trust someone from the previous rulers court, part of the reason he's so hated (although I haven't gotten into it yet I intend to once everyone enters the actual capital) is that he's a foreigner; had someone brought it up I would have mentioned how all of Zaddicus' servants and staff, as well as his most trusted allies, have the same distinctive black hair and red eyes of Culchethians as him. Lastly you didn't explain how Alfonso came across his Tarot (several people have gone with Zaddicus just giving it to them, I'd prefer something different). Edits needed. I see no problem with your cards and am excited to see how you choose to portray Ritual monsters in this setting though.
