If they ever become meta, F.A. can Transmodify it from a Level 4.

Sounds amazing now that you can access it easier especially in my beloved qliphorts but I’m not sure what spells you’re negating with it. Probably Spyral and Magicians, but some decks can get away with removing this in other ways or go about their business without spells

 

Oh also nice tidbit about FA because that means it may be able to snatch a win here and there if nobody expects it

for real though, spell canceller in F.A's? why would you ever? are you a masochist? every good combo card in F.A. is spell related, (field or quickplay) and drawing this/summoning is more likely to get you killed than the opposite. if you want to run it in anything, paleo and traptrix would be the only decks that can use it offensively without taking too much backlash, paleo because they run 1 spell tops, and traptrix because they lose nothing by sumonning it, and with bottomless at 3, they can now reliably protect it from most summoned threats.

In that case you just swap Canceller for your sided Jinzo, which funnily enough benefits from almost the same support, except Level4 F.A. --> Transmodify :v

 

Naturally, you would Summon Canceller after setting up your board in F.A.s.

jinzo's a good card to have in F.A. since you really won't be running all that many traps, and it would definitely hurt paleo.

 

problem is that canceller would prevent you from reacting properly in F.A. negating the field spells and preventing you from maintaining advantage. jinzo doesn't really hurt the deck, but canceller, if your opponent breaks even half of your board, and leaves it living, would destroy you from the inside out.

IDK, it's mostly theory at this point, but I imagine you can unlock yourself in most of the times by using Canceller as Synchro/Link material.

This card pops up every year as a tech but it always falls short because of its attack. You can just crash purple poison etc into it.

Also, I think I remember it being used a bit in BA, since they could just tribute summon it.
