Take one or both. My resutls were different, while someone else's matched, even if the exact nubmers were different.

So TIL I'm basically not evil and not especially Chaotic. Which is weird, I used to be more Chaotic Good.

So basically, not chaotic, and definitely not evil. Kinda like Black. I'm a bit surprised to have gotten lawful good (neutral good wouldn't be a surprise though), but a lot of those answers in both quizzes really kinda railroad you one way or the other. It's hard to pick an "act natural" response.

True Neutral - A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. In that case, one of these tests is inaccurate, and I presume it is the latter.

People tend to have different views on the classic alignments. I'll try and summarize my thoughts on what they mean from things I've read and DnD I've done and such.

It really boils down to something simple.

 

Lawful-Neutral-Chaotic.

This is just how much you follow rules...NOT just straight up "government laws" but also personal laws. Its how strict your personal code of ethics/rules is, usually.

This is why assassins are usually Lawful, because they follow a contract. And many "head villains" are also Lawful because they have their own rules.

 

Good-Neutral Evil

This is morals, more or less. If you lean more towards helping others or harming others. Evil characters don't really care if they hurt people as long as they get what they want and Good characters try to avoid hurting others unless they must.

 

There's variations, of course, but that's the most simplified I can make it.

 

tbh Neutral Good is probably closest to myself.
