Meteor Archetype [Written]

This archetype i present is based on the old cards Meteor Dragon and Meteor B. Dragon who also got Red-eyes retrain a while ago. It's mechanic is based on Special summon monsters during the battle phase thanks to the archetype field spell effect to both players.

 

 

[spoiler=Main Deck Monsters]

 

Meteor Entity

 

Level 2 FIRE Pyro/Effect

 

If you control a "Meteor" monster, you can special summon this card from your hand.Once per turn, when this card is sent from the field to the GY: inflict 400 damage to your opponent.

 

ATK:400 DEF:600

 


 

Meteor Summoner

 

Level 3 FIRE Spellcaster/Effect

 

If this card is Special Summoned during your battle phase: You can Special Summon a "Meteor" monster from your hand. Once per turn: Add 1 "Meteor" card from your deck to your hand. 

 

ATK:1200 DEF:800

 


 

The Living Meteor 

 

Level 3 FIRE Pyro/Effect

 

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent. This card can attack your opponent directly. If this card is destroyed by a card effect: You can add 1 FIRE monster from your deck to your hand.

 

ATK:1500 DEF:0

 


 

Meteor Scoundrel

 

Level 4 FIRE Reptile/Effect

 

If you control another "Meteor" monster on the field when your opponent activates a card effect (Quick Effect): Tribute this card; Negate the activation of that card and destroy it.

 

ATK:1600 DEF:1200

 

 


 

Meteor Beast

 

Level 4 FIRE Beast/Effect

 

When this card battle a defense position monster inflicts piercing damage.(Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your GY; Add 1 "Meteor" card from your GY to your hand. You can only activate this effect of "Meteor Lava Tiger" once per turn.

 

ATK:1800 DEF:200

 


 

Meteor Golem

 

Level 6 FIRE Rock/Effect

 

When this card is Special Summoned: Target 1 card on the field; Destroy that card. If this card is destroyed by battle: Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

 

ATK:2000 DEF:2200

 


 
Meteor Garuda
 
Level 6 FIRE Winged Beast/Effect
 
When this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 card on your opponent's Spell/Trap zones; return it to the hand.
 
ATK:2300 DEF:1200

Bursting Meteor Dragon

 

Level 8 Fire Dragon/Fusion/Effect

 

2 "Meteor" Monsters.

Must be Fusion Summoned with the above materials and cannot be summoned by other ways. Once per turn, when this card is Fusion Summoned: Destroy all monsters your opponent controls, then inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each card destroyed by this effect.

 

ATK:3500 DEF:2000

 


 

Meteor Calamity Dragon

 

Level 10 Fire Dragon/Fusion/Effect

 

"Bursting Meteor Dragon" + 2 "Meteor" monsters. 

Must be fusion summoned with the above materials and cannot be summoned by other ways.You can only use one of the following effects per turn, and the 1) effect of "Meteor Calamity" once per duel: 1) When this card is fusion summoned: Destroy all other cards on the field; add 1 "Meteo" counter to this card for each card destroyed by this effect. 2) Once per turn if your opponent activates a monster, spell or trap effect  (Quick Effect): Remove 1 "Meteo" counter from this card and reduce this card ATK by 300; negate the activation of that card and destroy it.

Once per turn, at the start of their battle phase(Quick Effect):The turn player can Special Summon 1 monster from their hand in face up attack position, also it is destroyed  during the end phase, then the turn player takes damage equal to the destroyed monster attack.

Continuous Spell
 
Each time a "Meteor" monster is Special Summoned: Inflict 500 damage to your opponent. If this card leaves the field: You can Special Summon a "Meteor"  monster from your hand or GY.
 

 
Arrival of the Meteor Calamity
 
Quick-play Spell
 
Once per turn: Fusion Summon 1 "Meteor" Fusion monster using monsters you control as fusion material. The monster Special Summoned this way it is unaffected by your opponents card effects until the end phase.
 

 
Nebulous Meteor Cluster
 
Normal Spell
 
Target 2 "Meteor" monsters in your graveyard: Return them to your deck; draw 1 card.

During the battle phase: Increase the ATK of all your "Meteor" monsters by 500. If a "Meteor" monster battled: Reduce its ATK by 800 until your next stand-by phase.

Normal Trap
 
Target 1 face-up Special Summoned monster: Reduce its ATK to 0 until the stand-by phase of the next turn.
 

 

 
Please give feedback to the ideas this archetype have and if some effect work, are lackluster or too op and in general if this archetype work,  to improve this archetype.
 
And also i'm not an english native speaker so maybe there have some grammar issues with some cards.
