ChampionZero
Starmaid. Star + Mermaid. Simple enough.FIRE Fish, because it's an odd combination and also SPACE!Primarily, their objective is just Level 2 Xyz Spam, to the point of being asinine. As such, for their individual effects, I gave them all the ability to be Special Summoned from the hand, but with the addition of a hand-trap effect, most of which are copied from other hand-trap monsters in the game. I think I might have to put a restriction on how many you can activate per Chain or something along those lines, and/or make their triggers more specific. S Yeah, this is mostly for a story I'm writing but whatever works, right? Serious criticism and comment is encouraged! (But if there's something I should change, please do suggest how to fix it because my creativity is mostly aesthetic) [spoiler=Go!]Coral StarmaidLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectWhen an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then end the Battle Phase. 1000/1000 Deepspace StarmaidLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectDuring either player's turn: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then target 1 “Starmaid” monster you control; banish it until your next Standby Phase.1000/1000 Starmaid SirenLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectDuring your opponent's Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; that face-up monster your opponent controls has its effects negated until the end of this turn.1000/1000 Starmaid PearlLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectDuring either player’s turn: you can Special Summon this monster from your hand; immediately draw 1 card.1000/1000 Fresh StarmaidLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectDuring either player’s turn, when you Special Summon a “Starmaid” monster: you can Special Summon this monster from your hand.1000/1000 Starmaid SteedLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectDuring the Damage Step, when a “Starmaid” monster you control battles (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this monster from your hand; that monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, until the end of this turn.1000/1000 Starmaid ChangelingLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectDuring either player’s turn, when you Special Summon a “Starmaid” monster, except for “Starmaid Shapeshifter”: you can Special Summon this monster from you hand, and if you do, change its name to that of another “Starmaid” monster you Summoned this turn.1000/1000 Starmaid SaviorLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectWhen you take effect damage: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, gain Life Points equal to the damage you took.1000/1000 Starmaid WitchLevel 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/EffectWhen you take battle damage: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the amount of damage you took.1000/1000 Comet StarmaidRank 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/Xyz/Effect2 Level 2 FIRE FishYou can detach 1 Xyz Material; add 1 “Starmaid” monster from your Deck to your hand.1000/1000 Starmaid PrincessRank 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/Xyz/Effect2 Level 2 FIRE FishOnce per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 "Starmaid" monster you control; it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn.1500/1500 Starmaid QueenRank 2 ~ FIRE ~ Fish/Xyz/Effect3 Level 2 FIRE FishOnce per turn, when an attack is declared involving this monster and an opponent’s: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects, also your opponent takes any Battle Damage you would have taken from battles involving this card.0/
TheTrueSaiyan
Coral Starmaid - Themed Battle Fader, not much else to say honestly Deepspace Starmaid - Good for dodging removal but this is a Xyz deck so they lose their materials. Eh, I guess? Starmaid Siren - Themed Effect Veiler, also gets a monster of the field which is cool for extending plays Starmaid Pearl - Staple 3 of in every single deck under the sun, way too generic and powercreeps Upstart Goblin Fresh Starmaid - Gets monster on the field, useful. Would take some testing to know if you would rather run some of the other cards that do additional stuff or this card since it's easier to summon. Starmaid Steed - Themed Honest, and gets a monster on the field. Starmaid Changeling - Why the name change? Starmaid Savior - Trickstar tech? Effect damage isn't too common these days outside of Trickstars Starmaid Witch - Cool, the Battle Fader is more useful though. Comet Starmaid - Good, get a search Starmaid Princess - Sure, why not? Starmaid Queen - Why does it have that effect with a 2000 ATK body? That works completely against its own effect. Most of these cards will just be used to make Paleozoic better since they are both Rank 2 based. They have a lot of cards but not very versatile. If I put a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in front of them the only card they have to out is Steed that is able to do anything about it.
ChampionZero
Hm. You make a good point all around. And yes, many of these mimic other handtraps, save for the summoning themselves, because let's be real, those monsters are not going to end up in one Deck with a unifying theme, so I had to invent a way around that. Like I said it's for a story. In any case, you make a good point regarding Queen. I'll have to drop that ATK and DEF a few. Should it be down to 1000 or 0 entirely? Although if you don't intend to make this a coherent deck that may I recommend you loosen the requirements for the Xyz? Fire/Fish level 2 doesn't have any members outside the archetype, I'd give a recommendation about what to change it to but that depends on your story. As for the ATK, I'd drop it to 0, does more damage that way
