I didn't actually watch the show, since the releases of the translations of the last chunk of the manga that was adapted happened to coincide very closely to the anime episodes airing, but I got the story at about the same time. It had very touching moments with Kou leaving, and the new characters had a very nice dynamic with the current cast (as well as the current cast having a new dynamic due to new responsibilities like with Aoba and Hifumi).
