Darj
The Fabled UnicoreAttribute: LIGHTType: Beast/Synchro/EffectLevel: 4ATK: 2300DEF: 10001 "Fabled" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersWhile you and your opponent have the same number of cards in hand, negate all Spell, Trap and Effect Monster effects activated by your opponent, and destroy that Spell/Trap/Monster. Needlefiber can grab a Level1~3 Fabled Tuner. Troymares are splashable Link monsters that can discard Cerburrel. Sage with Eyes of Blue can grab Chawa or Catsith, then be used as material for a Needlefiber. Whether you play Chawa/Catsith, Cerrubel and/or Kushano, getting 1~3 Levels on board shouldn't be that difficult, especially when Grinder Golem and, to a lesser extent, Scapegoat are widely played.Could this be the next best secret tech waiting to take the spotlight, or hand count modulation would remain an issue despite this monster being apparently more splashable than ever? Fabled Raven isn't bad in Shaddolls. But you'd need to play Dinomischus to get into Unicorn
vla1ne
funny enough, in paleo, due to running things like reckless greed, accumulated fortune, and pikaia, alongside their boss monster effects (which excavate and activate from hand/search respectively), you can rather easily play to match the opponent's hand at any give time. never actually though to keep a unicore in the ED, but it's one of the few decks with more than enough ED room to do so, and enough maindeck versatility to give a fabled monster a shot (not to mention cards like karma cut and dinomischus each equal more than enough ways to discard). EHN.
Used to be fun inducing salt with this in Ragin Turbo back in the day. Not sure if running this would warrant playing the bricks in terms of Fabled tuners since this isn't something you'd necessarily be going into all the time. A lot of the time your resources could be better spent on something like a colinked Trigate which is a guaranteed negate and much better first turn since Unicore can be played around easily during your opponents turn. Darj
You got a point there. Also without hand drawing and/or discarding tools, it may not be as feasible to keep the same hand size as the opponent. Hand traps by nature can help, but they can only do so much. Instead, I wonder if Fabled Ragin would be a more feasible Fabled Synchro to go, for the hand replenishment.
