I don't believe I've supported Sunshine Jesse yet, so I'll give another vote to bump Jesse up to +3.

thank you for doing this right now, because i'm trying to compile a list and the timing genuinely could not have been better, just finished recounting jesse lol

I looked over the list of people you mentioned, and wanted to at least give a vote to someone who has a better chance. Not sure about lending support for some of the other +1's, because if the +3 is what we're going with, then I doubt it would make a difference.

Doing a recount due to my mistakes. Luckily, I have a list of nominees this time, so I can just go through pages using those. Votes are also categorized by page and name, for ease of double checking or factchecking my results. I realized another member I missed, so I'm glad that this wasn't the final results, even if it doesn't change much.
 
Self-nominations have neither been accepted nor shut down, so this will be a bit more in-depth than the last list. Unclear votes will not be counted in this list, so you should probably double check that you have cast a nomination for those you support.
 
Thinking it through, I feel like self-nomination shouldn't really count as a point in your favor, more just willingess to do it, but Yui and Bird are also willing to do it so... That's up to discussion and the mods, not me, so yeah.
 
Also note, Bird is tallied for posterity's sake only, given she willingly bowed out. Unsure on Yui.

I am also raising a paw for Yui, le Mooer (CowCow) and Chaos Sonic as well.

Does Black count as new?

Also Night doesn't exist

If we were to draft the moderators by the suggested "bring old mods back and new ones too" then Black would not be considered new. I think if this did happen, we would need a separate process to bring in older moderators so as not to affect the election of new mods.

Just want to state that I full support promoting Birdie "directly" and getting an additional Mod through this election. IDK if 2 mods from the elections would be necessary, though, but that's the mod team's decision.

 

P.D. I find funny to see my former username still being mentioned. Perhaps I should put it as my alias xD

Surely my boy Krow should be nominated, we ran a music club way back for like a whole month.

 

Now that may not seem like much but the activity in that club back then is probably more than anything happening here nowadays so he would easily shoulder the burden. Dude's got my vote.

Let me remind everyone that activity is an important part of being elected. Simply showing up here isnot something that will get you into a moderator's position. You can of course throw your hat in the ring, but by no means does your presence in this thread guarantee your seat. Please keep that in mind.

We seem to be having a little bit of confusion. Are we voting in one person or two people? Is it two new people, or one old, and one new? Is Birdie just an auto rejoin, or something else?

I want someone to summarize exactly what the end result is, and if no one disagrees, then we are all on the same page and no one can claim "Oh, I didn't understand what was going on,".

Currently, this thread is only being used to nominate those persons that you feel would make good moderators.

 

There's discussion in the mod forum as to how we want it to play out. The recommendation that this thread be used to bring in new mods while restoring old mods does not yet have traction.

 

At this time, please only use this thread to nominate any persons not on staff that you feel would make good moderators.

Just thought I'd bring this up as an option for how exactly to handle the vote if/when it comes to it. This would mean that the votes would have to be done by PM, but I honestly think that's an upside over it being a poll. I think we can all agree that FD is impartial, so I'm not worried about votes being ignored so as to change the result.

If I may, I would like to chime in.

Lord CowCow, (◊) (Parenthesis), and Yui have my vote.

However, if the team wants members who haven't been moderators before, then Lord CowCow and Sleepy have my vote, too.

I would like to vote for Black, Yui, Sleepy, and Krow.

 

Black: Just from the way you've handled this thread and the countless different people that have supported the fact you've been trying to better this place for the last year has given me confidence that you are exactly what the mod team needs right now. I don't think I've interacted with you at all so this vote is based purely on faith in the judgment of the other members on the site.

 

Yui: Pretty much same as Black, including the fact you've been a former mod and I think you're a pretty likable and reasonable guy.

 

Sleepy: I agree with Parenthesis that (along with Yui) you're probably one of the nicest/most reasonable people I've seen around the site that isn't already a moderator. Since this thread is a call for new blood, I think you would definitely fit the role perfectly and would bring a great perspective to the team.

 

Krow: Just wanted to give you a vote because why not, lol.

Tally has been updated, please inform me if I have made a mistake.

 

We have 10 members with 3+ nominations, with 6 of those having 5+, and 4 of those are tied with 9 a piece. (This excludes Birdie)


EDIT: wait no i labeled the pages incorrectly. Working on that.
