Ryusei the Morning Star
Plant FTK certainly isn't the only FTK it's a part of, either, but I don't think this card is responsible for any of them, only serving as a powerful bridge. The amount of toolboxing that the legacy links offer is often a bit too much. Needlefiber has that in spades. Giving tuners a new purpose doesn't inherently make it fair, just as it inherently doesn't make it broken. There just happen to be a lot of high value tuners available for it to access, many of which used to fall just shy of their full value, and a large number of decks that can easily incoroporate it. As you said, I'm not calling for its head, but it is such an obvious cut above everything else that it makes sense people want it gone. It's kinda centralizing for a lot of decktypes, fitting in to a good number decks that don't currently have a themed/type-based link to call their own. We're just not at a point where it's gotten too good.Genuinely curious what other FTK/OTKs you know of that use fiber The only annoying play I can think of is the Trish-Omega loop that got level eater banned in OCG, but that's not even a true FTK Cannon solider funzies? Sleepy
Well the synchron link was bad even without needle-fiber you're fooling yourself if you think it'd see play w/o needle existing That's what I said in my last line of what you quoted. It certainly doesn't help that the Synchron Link is underwhelming on itself. I've seen Needlefiber taking precedence in builds against more than that Link though, even compared among the newest Links within its same set and against these elemental Link retrains (including the ones that hadn't even been released yet, like this Bee). It doesn't mean it warrants list attention, as I'm not saying it is ahead of the curve of the game, but it might be a little ahead of the Link's curve specifically. Cards aren't created equal, what else is new in Yugioh, right? It is pretty versatile. As for the topic of loops and/or FTKs with Plants, Topologic + Amaryllis come to mind, and I've seen both on their own with annoying plays due to their lack of hard-OPT clause. Added to the list of loopy cards this gen along Firewall, Level Eater, and Grinder Golem.
