Painful Recollection

This is a painful choice retrain I thought of based off of pvz heroes, the conjure abilities. Would it be good though?

Painful Recollection

Spell - Normal

Activate by selecting 3 random cards from your deck ( without looking at them ). Your opponent looks at the cards, adds 1 to your hand, then banish the rest face down. You can only activate 1 "Painful Recollection" per turn.

Seems fine to me due to the big luck factor involved, unless you are cheating and have your cards marked somehow, and even then, you won't know which card you will get from the 3 you pick. Still, it would be fun card to play casually.

do you think it would be better if it was extended to 5 cards like painful choice is?

I don't think so. The heavy luck factor still remains, and it could actually be worse since then you have 1/5 chances of getting the card you want instead of 1/3, and end up banishing 2 more cards from your Deck, and that's no good unless you are running stuff like PSY-Frame Omega to put the GY.

that is true, It would definitely be better as 3 then, given that they are banished instead of being sent to the graveyard
