Hmmm. I think I can give this a shot. So, ya need some examples of my skills? Here are some...:

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only declare an attack if you discard a card from your hand. As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, all monsters your opponent controls are treated as DARK Fiend-Type monsters. When your opponent targets this card with a card effect, you may pay 1500 Life Points to treat this card as a Continuous Spell Card until the End Phase of your next turn, this card remains in your Monster Card Zone and cannot be attacked or attack.

My splices are mediocre, but my cards are my real skill...

There's the tut! Now save the file as .png! Not .jpg!

Now question a arises.

How do you use this on a sig?

Well, here is how!

___________________________________________________________

Step one:

Open up your sig. {I'll use the sig of Elly}

nedkdw.jpg

Step two:

Go, File>Open Layer As

Select and open the saved file of the outer glowed layer you created.

The background should be black.

Now, Layer>Transparency>Color to Alpha

Color to Alpha:

From: set it to black, 000000.

Adjust that to the way you want to use it at.

Vala! Perfect Looking text. :D

Remember, don't distribute this tut to anywhere else.

Or credit yourself of this tut.

Best to the GIMP'ers. ^_^

[spoiler=Easy Level Guide to Signature Making on GIMP]This is a beginner's tutorial to signature making. <_<

Meaning you won't have to deal with a lot of layering and heavy filtering.

Our Goal:

Easytut.png

_______________________________________________________________

Step 1:

Start by setting the Foreground color to black or white and setting the Background color to the color that's opposite of the Foreground color.

Step 2:

Next click on Creating a New Image.

Image Size:

Width: ??? {Whatever you want to use, but don't make it over 500.}

Height: ??? {Whatever you want to use, but don't make it over 200.}

Advanced Options:

X resolution: 72.000

Y resolution: 72.000

Color space: RGB color

Fill with: Background color

Comment: {Whatever you want.}

I started out with black background, which means, I setted the foreground white.

nytpu1.jpg

Step 3:

Now go to File>Open Layer As, and find your render and open it.

{I'll use a render of an anime girl, as usual. XD}

After you do, adjust the render's size by going to Layer>Scale Layer until you get the parts that you want to use for the signature.

292raev.jpg

Step 4:

Now go to Dialogs>Layer and click on the Eye next to the render to hide the render. Click on the layer called "Background". Click on the brushes and cover the black background with it. {Remember to keep the Foreground colors white, or the opposite of the Background colors.}

33k9c89.jpg

Step 5:

Ok, now, click on the Eye next to the render again to unhide it. Click on the "Background" layer and go to Color>Colorize. Try to play around with the color until the background matches a part of the render (I usually match the hair of the render).

2z3qviq.jpg

Step 6:

Now, right click on the Background layer and click on duplicate layer. Move the Background copy layer on top of the render layer. Change the Mode of the Background copy to Overlay.

11imkqf.jpg

Step 7:

Now, go to Edit>Copy Visible and press, Ctrl+V, or paste. <_<. Go on the Layers and right click on the pasted object, it should say "Floating Selection". After you've right clicked on it, click on New Layer. Apply Gaussian with the same things as before to the Pasted Layer. Change the Mode of the Pasted Layer to something that would fit it (I used Color).

rv9jy0.jpg

Step 8: (Optional)

If you don't like the result so far, you can Copy Visible again , and New Layer it again. Then go to Colors>Brightness-Contrast, until you have a more satisfying result.

vfy541.jpg

Step 9:

Since, this isn't really a advanced tut, I will end it here. Add a border and your done. Filters>Decor>Add Border. It's your option to the Border thickness and size.

eas9wx.jpg

Don't rip.
