The Nyx Avatar
Normal SpellActivate while you control no monsters. Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower Insect monster from your Deck in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position. If you do, you can treat all monsters on the field as Insect monsters until the End Phase. You can only activate 1 "Insectation" once per turn. Darj
Card is good, but one really cannot go wrong with E-Teleport kind of cards, and the Insect conversion surely combos with the recent Weevil support, although I don't remember any possible plays at the moment. The requirement of controlling no monsters may keep it from being banlist-worthy like E-Tele, but I would still keep an eye on it and future Insects. My evil side, however, thinks this could be a Quick-Play so you can defend, Set an Insect and/or turn your opponent's monsters into Insects during its turn. Or stuff like Gokibore for some adding. And two Inzektor monsters for what it's worth. I don't see how that's evil. It's more of practical, and what Insects could use. Changed it to a Quick-Play Spell Card.
Sleepy
I like that Type-changing effect, although I don't quite thing it big enough to run Insect Barrier, and I wanna use Insect Barrier xDThe character creature in the card's image is one of my brother's favorite MTG cards so, gotta love that trivia. Or at least it does look a lot like a certain red 3/3 creature from a starter deck. The "if you control no monsters" helps it a ton in terms of balance IMO, though I'm not a big fan of Inzektors and think them pretty degenerate even if they are technically power-creeped, but I guess that's a matter of taste, and this does help Krawlers too. I would probably aim for a fun goal of seeing how much I can boost an Insect Queen with this.... as weird as that might be.
