~British Soul~
Have to go with Phanpy here. Whilst I am neutral on it, I cannot unhear Chuggaa saying "oh my god, I found a Phanpy!"Nothing against Vulpix though, I haven't used it yet. (Though I plan to in US)
Northern Sage
Phanpy's design just looks so clean. I love the stripe/ribbon thing it has around its snout. Also is a tapir which you can't go wrong with.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Vulpix-A because of usage reasons in Gen 7; also that thing with Snowball / one on Mt. Lanakila. Still need to actually use it competitively because limited to in-game while I can breed stuff.
The Nyx Avatar
Alola Vulpix. Phanpy is a cute little button, but I prefer Ninetales over Donphan. It just looks more majestic and I usually prefer Ice over Ground.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Phanpy is technically a (pygmy) elephant iirc, but then again, I could be mistaking it with Donphan. Let's just say they're both elephants. But Vulpix-A moves on to round 6 in a generally clean sweep.
