Ultimagamer
I was thinking about infernity, but mostly dark worlds while creating these. It could poetntially be its own thing, but for now im thinking generically Ghost Girl Level 2 / Fiend / Dark 800 attack / 0 defenseOnce per turn, you can discard 1 card from your hand. While you have 2 or less cards in your hand, each time you discard a card(s), you can draw 1 card Ghost BoyLevel 2 / Fiend / Dark 1000 attack / 0 defenseOnce per turn, you can discard 1 card; special summon this card from your hand or GY. While you have 2 or less cards in your hand, when this card is special summoned you can draw 1 card. The Door to the Other Side Spell - Field If you control no monsters, you can discard any number of cards, apply one of the following effects; send 1 Fiend type monster from your deck to your GY whose level equals the mount of cards discardedspecial summon 1 Fiend type monster from your GY whose level equals the number of cards discarded. If you have 2 or less cards in your hand, Fiend type monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent’s activated card effects.
EndUser
I may give my view on the cards. However, I have two questions that need to be answered: Ghost BoyLevel 2 / Fiend / Dark 1000 attack / 0 defenseOnce per turn, you can discard 1 card; special summon this card from your hand or GY. While you have 2 or less cards in your hand, when this card is special summoned you can draw 1 card.Do you intend the discarding to be part of the effect or a cost? Simply put: If you use Dark Worlds, do you want them to activate the effect if they are discarded by this card or not? The Door to the Other Side Spell - Field If you control no monsters, you can discard any number of cards, apply one of the following effects; send 1 Fiend type monster from your deck to your GY whose level equals the mount of cards discardedspecial summon 1 Fiend type monster from your GY whose level equals the number of cards discarded. If you have 2 or less cards in your hand, Fiend type monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent’s activated card effects. Same like before: Do you want the Dark World monsters to activate their effects if they're discarded with this or not? The reason I ask is because using something as a cost is different from using it as an effect or part of an effect. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, here are the two basic things you need to know about costs:1) A cost is something that you have to apply regardless if the card's effect is negated.2) Some cards activate their effects only if they're used for an effect, other cards can activate their effects even if they're used as a cost. For example, Dark Worlds can activate their effects only if they're discarded by a card effect, but the Fabled monsters can activate their effects if they're discarded either by a card effect or as a cost. The Intent was to have them get their effects from being discarded, much like the Darkworld field spell. If they are miss-worded, that is my bad, I'm not too good at that
Darj
Ghost GirlNot a big fan of the last effect because as long as you have 2 or less cards on hand, you can keep discarding with effects and drawing. Then it makes pluses when you discard "floating" (they generate a +1 when they go to the grave) cards like Dark Worlds, Shaddolls, Phantom Knights, etc. and/or if you draw into Spell/Traps that you can Set to keep the low hand count. I guess a "You can only use this effect of "Ghost Girl" once per turn" (a.k.a. a hard OPT) clause can patch up this issue. Ghost BoyI would like some clarification on the first effect, because at the moment it's written as a cost, and thus won't trigger stuff like Dark Worlds, Shaddolls, etc. That aside, it looks fine to me. Unlike the Girl who could enable combos by discarding + drawing, this one needs to be Special Summoned to get the draws, so you would have to rely on its own effect, as well as Special Summoning effects, to try to draw repeatedly from it. DoorI like this one. It gets the outstanding Field support/searchability, it's properly restricted IMO with the "control no monsters" and can potentially become a backbone for a "discarding-by-effect engine" for floater decks by teching some Level1~2 Fiends. Thanks for the feedback! Given the nature of discarding as a cost and discarding for the effect I was thinking on changing it up a little bit as so whilst adding some more cards Ghost Girl Level 2 / Fiend / Dark 800 attack / 0 defenseOnce per turn, you can discard 1 card from your hand. While you have 2 or less cards in your hand, each time you discard a card(s), you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Girl" once per turn Ghost BoyLevel 2 / Fiend / Dark 1000 attack / 0 defenseOnce per turn, you can special summon this card from your hand or GY then discard 1 card. While you have 2 or less cards in your hand, when this card is special summoned you can draw 1 card. Ghost ServantLeve 3 / Fiend Dark 900 attack / 0 defenseOnce per turn, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy that target, then discard cards equal to it’s level. If you have 2 or less cards in your hand, you can target spell and trap cards with this card’s effect. Ghost GardenerLevel 4 / Fiend / Dark 1000 Attack / 0 DefenseIf you have 3 or more cards in your hand, you can gain 1000 lifepoints, then discard 1 card. While you have 2 or less cards in your hand, this card’s original attack is doubled. The Ghost of the House, The SpectreLevel 5 / Fiend / Dark 2000 attack / 0 defense If this card is in your GY while you have 2 or less cards in your hand. You can special summon this card then you can discard 1 card. You cannot normal summon or set during the turn you use this effect. The Door to the Other Side Spell - Field If you control no monsters, Apply one of the following effects; send 1 Fiend type monster from your deck to your GY then discard cards equal to it’s levelspecial summon 1 Fiend type monster from your GY then discard cards equal to it’s levelIf you have 2 or less cards in your hand, Fiend type monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent’s activated card effects. EndUser
Here's my reply. In addition to wording the cards as correctly as possible, I added my opinion on some of them.Keep in mind that you can edit a previous post instead of re-posting the cards. ;) (but don't forget to say it either to that post or a new one) { Ghost Girl }Once per turn: You can discard 1 card. If you discard a card(s), while you have 2 or less cards in your hand: You can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Girl" once per turn. --------------------- { Ghost Boy }You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY, then discard 1 card. You can only Special Summon "Ghost Boy" once per turn this way. When this card is Special Summoned, if you have 2 or less cards in your hand: You can draw 1 card. The reason I changed your version of "once per turn" is because the monster isn't on the field when you activate its effect so you could keep Special Summoning it if you wanted to. --------------------- { Ghost Servant }Once per turn: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls: Destroy that target, then discard cards equal to its Level (if possible). If you have 2 or less cards in your hand, you can target 1 Spell or Trap card your opponent controls instead. You forgot to write its stats (Level, ATK etc.) As for the discarding effect, it is just too good if you manage to set off 2 or more effects from the discarded cards just because you destroy 1 monster. Therefore, simply to discard 1 card is more than enough. If you really want it to discard more than 1 cards, then you can write it as "discard cards equal to its Level (max. 2)", but I personally think it's unecessary. --------------------- { Ghost Gardener }If you have 3 or more cards in your hand: You can gain 1000 LP, then discard 1 card. While you have 2 or less cards in your hand, this card's original ATK is doubled. If you hold 4 cards, you can use the effect twice. If you're lucky to hold more than 4, then you can activate it even more times. A simple "Once per turn" at the start is just fine. I like that it becomes an intentional 2000 ATK beatstick (although it certainly isn't one of the best options). --------------------- { The Ghost of the House, the Spectre }If this card is in your GY, while you have 2 or less cards in your hand: You can Special Summon this card, then you can discard 1 card. You cannot Normal Summon or Set during the turn you use this effect. --------------------- { The Door To The Other Side }If you control no monsters, you can apply one of the following effect:- Send 1 Fiend monster from your Deck to your GY, then discard cards equal to its Level.- Special Summon 1 Fiend monster from your GY, then discard cards equal to its Level. If you have 2 or less cards in your hand, Fiend monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent's activated card effects. To control no monsters is an ok limitation at best. The reason is that you can still discard monsters that activate effects that don't Special Summon anything. Also, there is no limitation to how many monsters you can send from your deck to your GY (depending how many cards you hold ofc). Discarding 1 card is fine in both cases, because you gain two things in one play.In general, it's up to you how to balance the card but the important thing to implement anyway is a limitation when it's needed (either to the card as a whole or the effects separately).
