Let's see, just a quick recap of the staff. Correct me on anything that needs to:
Smear is inactive, 

Night mostly doesn't get involved in these matters, although he's not dead.

YCMaker and Falling Pizza are dead,

Yui is stepping down.

 

So our active mods are:
Zai, 

Sakura, 

Dad, 

Flame Dragon, 

BrokeN.

 

And Striker has some amount of power within his section.

 

I'm not trying to make any point here, just that this is about more text than a status would allow.

I just wanna make a mental image of what there is at the moment.

Disregard inactives and you're right. Smear cites having nothing to do though.

 

On the side I agree one or two more is appropriate again. In fact, consolidate the moderation to diminish the recent volatility: promote what is needed left and make sure the current moderators can't foresee reasons to leave. It helps to have a consistent team, learning about each other on the way and all. Also protects the sanctity of the promotion process (though its quality in the first place is a controversy on its own).

Zai is a terrible mod. He doesn't do anything. He does as much as Smear does, but at least Smear cites that he has nothing to do. Zai just puts on a badge.

Time and time again, the mods who have willingly stepped down when they have nothing left to contribute, tend to be the best ones this forum has seen. The reverse also holds sadly

I'm legit starting to wonder how much of the anti-Zai is not actually a joke. 
IDK how particularly bad or good he's been, because I haven't really studied his actions as a mod during this time.....

You can't study something that doesn't exist. You can only theorize it.

 

Zai does nothing, and has nothing to show for it either. He is literally just a guy with a badge. A good looking, lovable guy with a badge, but a terrible guy with a badge.

If it were solely up to me, I would've addressed Zai or other inactive mods at present and dealt with them accordingly (but you know that it isn't, even if I can literally promote/demote other staff members to full power). I will note that Smear is being looked into at the moment.

 

Question is, for RP guys, how much improvement has he made in the section? As PR, yeah, not so much.

Bigger question...what about Night...you and flame are super active, but is Night?

RP is hard to specifically "improve" because we mostly self-moderate ourselves. He hasn't had as much time as Aix had but he is at least on the same level generally.
