Eshai
Curious DollLIGHT - Level 4 - Zombie/Effect - 1100 ATK/1500 DEFWhen this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 5 cards in your GY, except "Curious Doll"; shuffle all 5 into the Deck, then draw 1 card. If this card is sent to the GY: You can send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the GY. You can only use 2 "Dolly Damsel" effects per turn, and only twice that turn. (Insert comment that Lightsworns won’t be a archetype in the DPR)So the card is essentially a Jar of Avarice on legs that can also be used to set up for its own effect. It, like Necroface, can chain themselves into each other, but it does have a restriction. It doesn't gain attack, but the draw will probably mean a lot more to you. The restriction means that you can either activate the first or second effect twice per turn, or use each effect once per turn. It just means I as a designer don’t have to worry about loops but can keep the card at around the same level of utility as it would be normally. Would like to see how other DPR members use that last restriction. Seems like it could be a nice compromise if you don’t want a OPT restriction. Dova
Jar of Avarice restriction is not required. At all. Now, if it was a Spell of some description, you might be worried about speed, but infinite recycling with a meager draw? Not many decks are keen for that. Second effect, coupled with it being LIGHT, almost makes it a better Minerva, but this card isn't a Tuner, so perhaps both might see play. But discard and foolish target? Pretty neat, and not really a problem with that last restriction. As for the last restriction, don't know about its OCGness. Minor point, all in all, but it does raise the question to my own mind as to how one would phrase such an effect You can only use an effect of "Dolly Damsel" twice per turn. Might be a little ambiguous, but I think it works. Regardless, like the card in milling decks, particularly Lightsworn, but don't really see much use outside of that. Eshai
It's the same wording as a SHOPT conditions on Crystrons, Gadgets, Obliterate!!, and such. The first "___ per turn" signifies how many different effects you can use, and the "only __ that turn" signifies how many times you can uses an effect per turn. Technically you could have a "You can only use 1 "" effect per turn, and only twice that turn." This condition would mean you can only activate 1 effect of that card per turn, but you can activate that effect twice per turn. (I might be wrong but I feel if I were to change how it would be worded I feel it wouldn't keep the game consistent). (Lets not talk about the fact I copy/pasted Jar of Avarice's wording because I didn't know the exact wording and then I forgot and now I look like a person that doesn't know Official Card Grammar). I'm thinking the card could be used as an anti-mill if you use it the right way. Use 2 and keep returning the other back into the Deck to continue doing stuff.
