Action field: Fusion Recycling Plant

Fusion Recycling Plant
Action Field Spell
Both players can use this card's effects. Both players can Fusion Summon to a Main Monster Zone once per turn. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card; add 1 "Polymerization" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Once per turn, during the End Phase: You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard that was used as a Fusion Material for a Fusion Summon this turn; add it to your hand.

The deck functions by using the Quick-Play Spells and Honest Neos to OTK the opponent. Generally you want to Fusion Summon Vision HERO Trinity, which has an ATK of 5000 (7500 with Honest Neos) and can attack 3 times, although not directly (but that's where Mask Change and Form Change come in handy to finish things off).

The action field means I always have a way of discarding Malicious, or The Fabled Catsith which can destroy any face-up card when discarded (even as a cost, unlike Dark Worlds). I also ran 3 Radian, the Interdimensional Kaiju and 2 Forbidden Chalice to out problematic monsters, with Twin Twisters and Masked HERO Acid for backrow.

If I can't OTK then plan B was to go for Dark Law and hope for the best.

Record: 3-3

Lost to myself, running Cubics. (I played all the other monsters so played myself too so as not to give myself away. I did actually play it out though.)

Defeated Chaosix, who ran something with Fire King Avatar Arvata, alas that's the only card he got to play before the OTK.

Lost to ', who ran Paleozoics and took no prisoners. I did manage to resolve Acid against 5 backrow but he summoned back all the Paleozoics.

Defeated Tinkerer, who ran Cubics much to my delight as a fellow enthusiast of the archetype.

Defeated Murtaugh (''s monster form, we did a couple duels for fun), who ran this deck.

Lost to Murtaugh, still with the Inferno Tempest.

Twas pretty fun all told! :>

I wanted to use a competitive build that featured Destiny HERO - Malicious. This deck draws upon heavy inspiration from

with some notable differences because of Action Field Fusion Recycling Plant. I replaced Blazeman with The Fabled Catsith as well as Destiny Draw with Twin Twisters, though the latter mostly just because I was worried about stuff like Solemn Strike ruining my day before I could get to Acid. I was pretty happy with Catsith, as it could out annoying floodgate Continuous Spell/Traps as well as monsters. I flirted with the idea of Localized Trunade, and think that would've been better than Twin Twisters in retrospect. Gogata's Extra Deck was also pre-Lithosagym, so he had to include 2 copies of the most critical Extra Deck monsters, so I also had the liberty of throwing in stuff like Masked HERO Vapor, Decode Talker, and Linklebell in case I ran into something that spammed Extra Deck monsters like SPYRALs. HEROs don't have access to much in the way of double-downward pointing Link-2's. I thought about Link-4's including Skulldeat by looping Malicious, but thought it would detract too much from my win condition to be worth it (it would also mainly have to work by laddering Links using Malicious, in which case I wouldn't be able to make full use of Skulldeat). None of the Links came up though, as I my initial Fusion Summon could be to a Main Monster Zone thanks to Action Field Fusion Recycling Plant as necessary. Akashic Magician might've been a good idea, as it can bounce opposing monsters as well as my Radians and has one down-pointing arrow which is better than none.

Interestingly, another deck that looks to have been inspired by Gogata's blueprint topped just after I submitted this decklist for Monster Duels. Michael Aubut got 18th place at a Montreal Regional with the deck and called it Y.O.L.O. Heroes.

If I were aware of Malicious' potential in Dinosaurs since the release of Overtex Coatls I might've gone with a build based around that instead, but am pretty happy with how this went all the same.

This is an excellent deck. Really clever making use of the Action Field with Catsith.

Only reason you got to Acid me was because I misread Form Change and thought it had to summon one of the same attribute so I let it go through, but I could have Dinomischus'd the target. :P

btw it's E - Emergency Call, not teleport
