Draconus297 Posted October 20, 2017 Report Share Posted October 20, 2017 Arcana Force XXI - The World LIGHT - Level 8 - Fairy/Effect - 3100/3100When this card is Summoned, toss a coin. ●Heads: During your End Phase, you can send 2 monsters you control to the Graveyard to skip your opponent's next turn. ●Tails: During your opponent's Draw Phase, add the top card of their Graveyard to their hand. (Insert Jojo reference) One of a very slim few monsters that breaks the "rule of 3000", and it's part of the even slimmer category of cards that skip your opponent's turn (the only other two being Six Samurai and tellarknight support), it's just pretty unique all around. banddude Posted October 21, 2017 Report Share Posted October 21, 2017 The only time I've ever really seen it used was in ZA WARUDO turbo. It was a fun deck to play though. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sleepy Posted October 21, 2017 Report Share Posted October 21, 2017 Here's your Jojo reference:Sartorius's Japanese VA is the same VA as Dio's from Jojo, because Sartorius's "Za Warudo" when he duels with this card is meant as a Stardust Crusader's reference, that is why this card stops your opponent's time. In turn, Jojo decided to pay back the homage by having Dio's VA be a reference to Sartorius, who was a reference to Dio before that. Isn't that bizarre? I recall how much this + field spell hurt. It is an auto win if you pull it off. Level Eater working with it too....It asks for a lot of deck dedication to be consistent enough, but the payoff. I saw somebody do this turn 1 once and so the opponent didn't even get a turn... fun times xD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Eshai Posted October 22, 2017 Report Share Posted October 22, 2017 I used to play around with this, Thethys, and Darklords, which was pretty fun but the lack of consistency got old pretty quick. I think skipping turns is the bane of any archetypes existence since any good Arcana Force support breaks/bans this card. There's also the coin toss bit that I disagree with since you can't really do anything consistent to make it competitive/viable. If I were to make the effects of the monsters, ALL of the monster's effects would at least have good intentions and would be able to switch on its own. Ex: When this card is Summoned: Toss a coin and gain the appropriate effect. ● Heads: ● Tails: After this card’s effect resolves, treat this card’s effect as the opposite coin toss. You can only use each effect of this card/“” once per turn. // Allows you to do some cool things, being able to actively switch from 1 to another reduces the potential luck factor. You could probably have the effects synergize with each other, or maybe even triggering when the card gains its effect.Each time <something happens>: Toss a coin and gain the appropriate effect. ● Heads: ● Tails: You can only use each effect of this card/“” once per turn. // Allows you to potentially gain both effects at the expense of not starting with one of them. This could be something as simple as when an archetype card's effect activates, or when another coin is tossed, or when it attacks or is attacked, etc. Coin Toss effects while usually luck based can be relieved of that RNG the mechanic is condemned for. All you have to do is something interesting with the mechanic that allows you to control the luck based factors. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted October 22, 2017 Report Share Posted October 22, 2017 This doesn't actually break the rule of 3000 ATK, since it has a 50% chance of giving your opponent an extra card every turn, which is a downside. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
vla1ne Posted October 23, 2017 Report Share Posted October 23, 2017 i ran the world turbo a while back, too much trouble setting it up for me back then. but considering monarch support now makes this card far simpler to use, i might try it again, since skipping turns for an auto win is worth the trouble when you can now get back the investment up so easily.
