Fukato
The Mizusion Archetype consists of WATER Aquas that are generally consistent with themselves and have other options such as Moray of Greed. They have differing Pendulum Scales within themselves. Furthermore, their main interest is to disrupt the opponent's play by forcing them to shuffle their own cards into their Deck or sending their Set cards to the GY. And they can lockdown Set cards (say goodbye to those Flip Effects and Chain Burn) if they have another Mizusion Ritual Pendulum Monster. Oddly enough, they tend to have 1900 DEF, excluding 1. The Ritual Spell Cards have GY effects so that they can benefit the player. But mainly, the playstyle is to block the opponent's Set cards. [spoiler=Monsters] Pendulum Effects: If you control no monsters: You can destroy this card; Ritual Summon 1 "Mizusion" Ritual Monster from your hand with a Level equal to or less than this card's. You can only use the Pendulum Effect of "Mizusion Spring Magna" once per turn. Monster Effects: Must first be Ritual Summoned using any "Mizusion" Ritual Spell Cards. If you control 2 "Mizusion" monsters in your Pendulum Zones: You can reveal this card in your hand; add 1 "Mizusion" Ritual Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. (Quick Effect): You can discard 1 card, then target 1 other card on the field; its effects are negated, also, if it is a monster, its ATK becomes halved. You can only use each effect of "Mizusion Spring Magna" once per turn. Pendulum Effects: Once per turn: You can destroy both cards in your Pendulum Zone; add 1 "Mizusion" Ritual Pendulum Monster from your Deck to your hand. Monster Effects: Must first be Ritual Summoned using a "Mizusion" Ritual Spell Card. (Quick Effect): You can target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; shuffle it into their Deck. You can only use this effect of "Mizusion Purify Cal" once per turn. Gains 800 ATK for each other Special Summoned monster on the field. Pendulum Effects: If you control a "Mizusion" monster in your other Pendulum Zone: You can destroy it; activate 1 "Mizusion" Ritual Pendulum Monster from your Deck to your other Pendulum Zone. You can only use the Pendulum Effect of "Mizusion Minera Mangane" once per turn. Monster Effects: Must first be Ritual Summoned using a "Mizusion" Ritual Spell Card. When this card is Ritual Summoned or Pendulum Summoned: You can add 1 "Mizusion" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Mizusion Minera Mangane" once per turn. Pendulum Effects: Once, while this card is in your Pendulum Zone: You can discard 1 Ritual Spell Card; Ritual Summon 1 "Mizusion" Ritual Pendulum Monster from your Deck by tributing monsters you control whose total Levels are equal to or more than that card's Level. Monster Effects: Must first be Ritual Summoned using a "Mizusion" Ritual Spell Card. While you control another face-up "Mizusion" Ritual Pendulum Monster with a different name, your opponent cannot Set cards nor activate them. (Quick Effect): You can make your opponent Set 1 Spell/Trap Card from their Deck, then they send 1 Set card they control to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Mizusion Arte Tassium" once per turn. [spoiler=Spells] Effects: This card can be used to Ritual Summon 1 "Mizusion" Ritual Pendulum Monster from your hand. Tribute monsters whose total Levels are equal to or more than the Ritual Pendulum Monster you Ritual Summon. If you control 2 "Mizusion" cards in your Pendulum Zone: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Set card your opponent controls; it cannot be activated, and during the End Phase, your opponent must either activate it or shuffle it into their Deck. You can only use this effect of "Mizusion Whirl Blessing" once per turn. Effects: This card can be used to Ritual Summon 1 "Mizusion" Ritual Pendulum Monster from your hand. Tribute monsters from your Deck whose total Levels are equal to or more than the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. If you control a "Mizusion" Spell/Trap Card: You can shuffle this card and 1 of your banished "Mizusion" Ritual Spell Cards into your Deck; make your opponent Set 1 card from their hand into their Spell/Trap Card Zone (even if it is a monster). You can only use 1 "Mizusion Illusive Drops" effect per turn, and only once that turn. Effects: Once per turn, if an opponent's card is shuffled or Set: You can activate 1 of the following effects;• Target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it.• Each players draw 1 card. Effects: When this card is activated: You can target 1 "Mizusion" Spell Card in your GY, except "Mizurcana Mizusion Cathedral"; add it to your hand. Once per turn: You can shuffle any number of Spell/Trap Cards in your opponent's GY into their Deck; Special Summon 1 "Mizusion" Ritual Pendulum Monster from your hand whose Levels are equal to or lower than the amount of cards shuffled, ignoring its summoning conditions. Nekomata
This kinda looks more like some WATER/Spellcaster Archetype, but Aqua is fine, I guess. The combination of Pendulum + Ritual is really interesting. You might want to consider that they take the flaws from both types, though: they're Pendulum, so you require 2 monsters just to set the Scale, they're Ritual, that means you first have to Ritual Summon them and can't just Pendulum from the hand. Or maybe you can try Ritual Summoning during the first turns and then use the Scales to Pendulum from the Extra Deck, but according to the MR4, you can Summon one Pendulum at time, so it won't have a huge impact on the field.Anyway. Mizusion Spring MagnaPendulum: If you control no monsters, destroy this and Ritual Summon without cost. Yeah ok. This solves many problems with the Ritual part of the Archetype. Ritual Summoning without Tributing? That's cool, but it just feels wrong.Monster: If you have the Scale, reveal this and search a Ritual Spell. Quick Effect, OPT: discard a card, negate the effect of a card on the field, halve the ATK. That's an interesting concept to search. The Quick Effect is also really good and has a cost, but it's not until the end of the turn, so you can just keep negating a card per turn. The discarding cost makes it more balanced, though. Mizusion Purify CalPendulum: Destroy the Scales, search a Ritual. As a Pendulum player, I know that getting rid of the Scales is a pretty huge deal, especially because there are op Ritual cards (pre-preparation) that have no cost at all. You can either change it so it destroys only itself or it could add a Ritual AND a Ritual Spell. Destroying 2 cards to get 2? Sounds fair to me.Monster: OPT: shuffle a card. +800 for each SS monster. Ok well, it has 500 ATK so it won't get that high, right? It has to be SS, so it already has 1300 ATK. Then you might have more monsters, and your opponent too... it will reach high ATK. Maybe starting at 1000 ATK and boosting 600 for each? It must be tested to decide. The shuffling effect is broken: no cost, Quick Effect. I know getting a Ritual on the field can be difficult, but this is just too strong. Mizusion Miniera ManganePendulum: destroy the other Mizusion, place a Mizusion in the Pendulum Zone from the Deck. Thanks for the hard OPT. Well, this effect has one big problem: Mizusions must be Ritual Summoned first. You can't just destroy a Pendulum and then Summon it. If you just wanted a "searcher", then it's quite decent. Oh wait. You can put Cal to use its effects. Yeah.Monster: When Summoned, search a Mizusion card. Ok. Basic searcher. Level 3 so easy Summonable. Mizusion Arte TassiumPendulum: Once, discard a Ritual Spell, Ritual Summon by Tributing a Mizusion from the Deck. Definitely original. Quite useful, too. It requires Tributing and a discarding so it's not too strong at all.Monster: Continuous if you control another Mizusion: your opponent cannot Set or activate cards. Quick Effect: your opponent Sets a card then sends another one to the GY. The continuous effect prevents from "activating cards"? I think you meant "can't activate Set cards" because otherwise, this might be the ultimate floodgate. 3k ATK too. The Quick Effect is.. well, weird. It actually helps your opponent, since it can get rid of a card he can't use to activate its GY effect. I really don't get this effect. Mizusion Whirl BlessingRegular Ritual. If you control the Scales, you can banish this from the GY, target a Set card, during the end of the turn it has to be activated or it's shuffled. I think Ritual Spells usually say "Tribute from the hand", right? Anyway, the GY effect of this card isn't amazingly good, but at least it's cool and original. Mizusion Illusive DropsRitual by milling. If you have a Mizusion Spell and a banished Mizusion Spell, shuffle this and the banished one, your opponent Sets a card in the S/T Zone. Ritual by milling, that's how Rituals work now. That's why Advanced Ritual Art is so used. The GY effect is a bit weird - the conditions aren't a problem, but the effect is kinda strange. If your opponent can just Set a S/T, that's not a problem at all. But if he doesn't have one, he's forced to waste a monster? That's cool. A fun card to try out. Mizusion Blizzard IncarnationOPT, if a card is shuffled/Set: target a monster and destroy it OR both players draw a card. The Archetype likes making your opponent Set cards - but I won't run Tassium just to use this - so it has proper conditions. The drawing effect is.. well, too fair, you'll probably always use the destruction one. I really don't know how to fix this, maybe "draw a card then discard one" to get rid of useless cards. Mizurcana Mizusion CathedralWhen activated, add a Mizusion Spell from the GY to the hand. OPT, shuffle any number of S/Ts in the opponent's GY, SS a Mizusion from the hand. The recovery effect is basic and useful. The other on is super original. Shuffling cards from the opponent's GY might actually be good, considering all cards now have a GY effect. Not sure if you'll ever be able to use that. The only monster you could Summon is Mangane. Try changing it to "This is considered a Ritual Summon" instead of "ignoring its summoning conditions": that will make Mizusions able to be Pendulum Summoned. Overall, the Archetype is cool. You might have some brick hands, but if you use the Pendulum effects wisely, I don't think it will mean "lose the game" automatically. I feel like there will be a lot of unused Rituals in the Extra Deck in late games, and that might be a problem.
